I completed BCA, after that did 3 years job as software engineer, and now studying 1 year Graduate certificate in IT from Algoma University Brampton. I'm eligible or not for PR in Ontario. 😮

In Ontario, software engineer is regulated by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). You can't call yourself software engineer unless you have an engineering degree. After graduation, you will get a PGWP the same length as your study (1 year). During PGWP period, you need to find a job, work 1 year, and apply for Express Entry. Appy for PNP as well.

I recommend, if you earn 50000 or more in India as doctor then please don’t think to come to Canada, you will regret your decision, will ended up doing odd jobs, here is nothing for BAMS doctors, and for BHMS you will have to clear the exam for registration, but Canadian don’t prefer Homeopathy Medicine, So do good research before you think to come Canada

After working 1 year, you can apply Express Entry (Canadian Experience Class). If your CRS score is higher than the minimum set by IRCC during a draw, you will get invitation to apply (ITA) for PR. In the last Express Entry draw, minimum CRS score was 486. You can also apply for PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) at the same time.

I think Canada has Master degree in nursing. But it requires students to work as RN for a while (with clinical experience) before admission. If you are a foreign educated nurse, you need to be licensed with a Canadian province. It starts with NNAS (National Nursing Assessment Service) which can take 1 year. Starting in May 2023, Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) waived NNAS requirement for nurses of Philippines, India, Nigeria, USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. They still need to pass NCLEX exam to receive NS nursing license. NSCN deals with NS nursing licensure, not immigration.

You need to find a job while visiting Canada; and the employer has LMIA approved. If not, employer needs to apply LMIA for $1,000 CAD application fee (paid by employer, not you). After LMIA approval, you can convert from tourist visa to work permit (inside Canada). "Inside Canada" is okay until 28th Feb 2025. This is a "closed" work permit meaning that you can only work for this employer.

High risk. There are so many MBA's out there in the job market. While working for a big company, they study MBA part time using company's continuing education benefit (i.e., companies reimburse their tuition if they get minimum of B in the course).

@@suhailgouri9169 My recommendation is to do a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering. Electrical engineers do a lot of application programming, applying engineering principles. I see majority of electrical engineers work until age 65 in corporations. On the other hand, many IT and CS professionals got layoff in mid-career; their jobs can be outsourced easily.

Registered Nurse (RN) is a 4-yr Bachelor degree in university. After graduation, you need to pass NCLEX-RN exam for nursing license with the province. Then you can apply for jobs in hospitals. License Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario is a 2-yr college diploma. After graduation, you will need to pass NCLEX exam to obtain nursing license. There is a salary difference between RN and LPN/RPN. For Canadians, only RN's are eligible to work in USA as temporary workers via TN-1 visas, not LPN/RPN.
