Canada's warmest winter destination doesn't have snow (so you won't need those winter Canadian boots), but it boasts a winter wonderland of another sort! Hi Dan, great videos! My family say they got quite the snowstorm yesterday (Nov 30/22) in Vancouver. Hope you filmed it as you can get some beautiful shots with the snow! I don't mind rain sometimes unless it goes on for weeks and months, but a bit of snow now and then makes a nice change.

The high today in Victoria was -8c, and it is going down to -9c overnight. Real winter weather sometimes makes an appearance! :)

I believe that occurred on Dec. 27, 2021 AND that was the coldest temperature Victoria recorded since the mid-1980s. So, that is definitely unusual! I felt -19 Celsius in Dallas, Texas last February. NOW THAT'S A TRUE WINTER EPISODE!

From whitehorse yukon. Average low of -20 degrees celsius and high of -10 degrees celsius and snow from October-May and I do prefer the winters up here in the north as winter doesn't feel normal without snow. Temperatures can drop down to -40 degrees celsius during a polar vortex.

Victoria includes Langford, the Highlands, etc which are higher & therefore get more snow, but not the city itself, my brother lives in Parksville & you do get more snow than us except for those areas which are close to the Malahat

Maybe very little snow but what about rain? How many days a month on average? I was hoping to spend next winter there. What about motorcycles? Lots of people ride all winter? Thanks in advance.

Great questions. Rainfall is definitely a thing but varies year to year and also depends where on the island you are. As far as motorcycles, I recommend checking out trail_raiders on IG. There are some friends of mine and a great resource!

Was there ever a problem with the ferry cancellation going to from downtown Vancouver to Vancouver island?

There are 2 ferry terminals servicing 3 routes to Van Isle. Occasionally they are cancelled (in the winter due to storms and other times year-round due to staffing issues) but if you make a reservation you’ll hopefully have no issues getting on your chosen route! 👍🏽
