CANADA STUDY VISA RULES 2024, NO PGWP & SPOUSE VISA FOR PRIVATE COLLEGE, THINK AGAIN BEFORE COMING!!

Hi everyone, In this video, we will discuss about the new study rules for International students in Canada 2024. The big changes made by IRCC were:
1. Cap on International Students - The international students will be reduced by 35% in 2024 compared to 2023. In total, around 3.6 Lakhs Study visa applications will be approved.
2. Attestation Letter from Province - Each province will allot the number of students to each Designated Learning Institutes that will be approved to study in that province. The intention is to diversify the international students coming in all the 10 provinces and not concentrating in just Ontario and British Columbia.
3. NO PGWP after studying from Public Private Institutions - This means that all the private colleges that have Public colleges curriculum can give degree to the students. However, those students cannot apply for Post graduate work permit (PGWP).
Another major update is a good news for the Masters (professional) degree students, as they will be approved for a 3 years of PGWP. Earlier, the course of study was used to determine the length of work permit even for Masters students.
4. No Spouse Visa for PG Diploma Courses - The students of Masters and Doctoral program can only apply for the Spouse visa. The student pursing Diploma, PG Diploma or Graduate Diploma cannot apply for Spouse visa.

I suggest to rewrite the exam and at least get 6 in each module with Overall 6.5 minimum. In your case, Scoring 5.5 in one module might not get you admission in any good college. Thanks.

Hi, Spousal open work permit requirement says there will be no spouse work permit for students who will come for PGDM. But there is no further information on this update. For now, you should consider that there will be no spouse work permit for PGDM students all over canada. Please research yourself on the official website to come to conclusion.

Hi, if he has completed PGDM already, then he may be eligible for spousal open work permit. Still we will have to wait for more information on this rule by IRCC.

Hi, there is no update on date regarding the open spouse work permit requirement. For now we can consider it is effective from Jan 22nd 2024 and students who got visa before this day, they should be eligible. Please research yourself on the official website to come to conclusion.

Hi, yes centennial college in Ontario is a public college and you will be eligible for PGWP if you study from this.
