Когда на чемпионате мира в 90-х (точно не скажу) в финале также играли кленовые с чехами и решающую забросили на посл сек...такой же шок был...даже больше ведь судьба золота решилась,ну тут чехам повезло просто,а там проход принёс успех и индивид качества!

Чехам респект за самоотверженность. Сколько раз убеждался ,что школа у них достойная. На самоотдаче сколько медалей на счету и на Олимпиаде и на Ч.М. еще будучи ЧССР. Играли на удержание и у них получилось в очередной раз. Канадский флагман утонул как Титаник . Поздравляю Чехию

Эта команда и тренеры Канады провалили МЧМ !!! Не столько победа Чехии,сколько неудачное выступление этой канадской команды !!! Что ищите какие то оправдания? Чехи выиграли. И это закономерно. Канадцам всячески подыгрывали судьи не замечали как канадцы грубили закрывали глаза на нарушения вот и закономерный итог. Против Российской сборной тоже всячески закрывают глаза на нарушения со стороны то канадцев, то американцев, то шведов. И это мобилизует команду и они выигрывают. а Канадцам больше не быть чемпионами.

Obviously, it's the goals that count at the end. Btw, I watched all the skaters, and skating skills, especially the power skating, were not there on either team. It's like power skating never was taught! I was concerned about that particular problem developing roughly 20 years back when I coached and paid outmost attention precisely to power skating (every other skill was based on it) where most other coaches were consumed by stick handling. Most, if not every player today, spend most of their time skating by literally running on skates and then transferring to wide glide. The forward and backward crossovers are very shallow or almost non-existent - that results in running on the skates with the free foot being elevated too high, resulting in lower outburst of speed than what good power skating skills offer. I have been absent from the skating teaching for 2 decades now but I can tell this negative trend continues. Yes, today players are very well equipped for having high stick skills but I'm not at all impressed with their power skating, as that is the most essential skating skills to have; everything else evolves around it's presence or lack of it. Anyway, it's at least good to see that after the demise of Czech hockey in last 15 to 20 years, Czechs finally are starting to pay more attention to youth development: perhaps the corruption that was so robust at that time and which was literally killing so much talent there, is perhaps less prevalent or minimized (it might come as a surprised to you folks from Canada but the corruption in Czech hockey in that time was horrific - I witnessed it first hand and I was appalled by it and very angry about it). Congrats to the Czech Team. It never gets old to be able to beat Canada. Huge success.
