So then the Spaniards did their utmost to “somehow” find a “weak link” so they could find a way “in” or through the IMPENETRABLE wall that proved to be BRUTALLY TOUGH wall of WOMEN!!! WOW ~ the Canadian Men’s National HOCKEY Team usually DOMINATE Sports in Canada, and to a certain degree lacrosse, football (soccer), CFL, and even swimming - especially during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, but now as it’s able to be played inside as well as outside…Unlike Indoor soccer… I think •🇨🇦•CANADA•🇨🇦•…just proved OUR WONEN’s TEAMS deserve far, far MORE coverage then what our men have received! We won’t the GOLD at the Tokyo Olympics, and regularly beating world FIFA reigning champions are extremely important games for our national female teams to have friendly and competitive games with! Even though our women play regularly meet up with many of these world class athletes, as many of them belong on the same European teams Just as it was crucially important for the US to win some bigger matches on the US soil. It goes without saying that it’s of extreme importance that CANADA both host and wins on CANADIAN home soil, as winning such titles both abroad and even more importantly as home…goes far in encouraging FAN SUPPORT and ECONOMICAL SPPORT to bring the game home and own the game!! Spain's inability to make overwhelming control of possession and offensive opportunities work for them is a serious issue. I don't see any team in the world that can out possess Spain but they are quite guilty of not making the most of their possession.

That looked a competitive match for a friendly, from the highlights shown here. It looked a high quality game to me. I didn't know the result before watching, so I was amazed that Canada managed to prevail against the waves of attacks they had to endure. I was certain that Spain must score eventually, but it just didn't happen. Just shows the wondor of football, where a team can dominate, create so many chances, but still lose.

Real madrid players are always late in their decision making even tho we play the same game but the level in iq is frustrating sometimes. But a veey dominant display with martin prieto upfront we wil pose a whole other thewta dome physicality and speed. Cant wait for salma and aitana and irene to be back.

So Lucky! One Attack and One Goal, Canada defended most of the time! This style does not always work! Spain's goal in the late minutes approved it. This coach is so weak and he just plays a few players that are recommended by his boss. The Canadian women's team needs a professional coach the same as the Canadian men's team coach that gives a chance to the best players to play from all over Canada.

Buchanan, Gilles and Rose are as good as any backline in the World. Sheridan is also a solid goalkeeper. This was a friendly match. In a tournament, I think Spain would likely convert more of their chances. It is rare for the best team in the World to not score at least once over 90 minutes.

It was a friendly, but they seemed to play hard. Still, there wasn't much on the line except pride. Spain looked dominant, though they also looked vulnerable to the quick counter, which Japan exploited to the max during the World Cup. Putellas looks like she's really getting back in form. Bonmati, Paredes, and Paralluelo were out -- maybe others, too. I guess Mapi Leon is never coming back to La Roja. Their current coach doesn't seem to be doing nearly as well as Vilda -- but Vilda was disliked by many players, and sexism was rampant during his tenure. I wonder what the Spanish players themselves are saying about their team's lack of recent success. Canada seemed to be holding on for dear life during the game -- much last-ditch defending. They did score a fine goal. Anyway, it's hard to read too much into a friendly game with stars missing... But Canada can be satisfied with the result, maybe? Priestman has been fired, which might make this draw even more important to the team: a decent result against one of the best teams in the world. (Spain is no longer ranked #1 -- the U.S. is -- but Spain and the U.S. haven't played head-to-head in years).

The problem is that now all teams, included the best ranked in FIFA world ranking (Canada is ranked 6th I think) are basically awaiting for a spanish blunder in the defense. If Spain score first, they will easily win the game and score 3-4 goals, if they don't like against Canada they will face many problems to win.
