Canadas Wonderland - Hanna-Barbera Land (1981)

Yoooo I grew up in Buffalo, NY in the 80's ...I have such great memories of my parents taking me to Canada's Wonderland especially the Hannah Barbera section...To me it was so magical.

Back in the late 90's, when the park was owned by Paramount and Fright Fest was introduced, They probably had "Harry Warden" wondering around the park, because back in 1981, just 3 months before this Park opened, My Bloody Valentine was released and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Ways to make this more welcoming: 1. Cinematography with brighter colors. 2. A friendlier sounding narrator. 3. Give Hanna Barbara characters like Yogi Bear and Scooby-Doo some dialogue instead of just sound effects.

Holy crap, I'm glad I never saw that as a kid, before I went to the park. That promo was the things nightmares are made of!

Yeah, I thought that was going to be cute, but it got weird at the end. And why were Yogi and Scooby just making sound effects?

Also, aren't Hanna Barbera characters famous for being, I dunno, kinda brightly colored? I'm sure the tape's age has a bit to do with it, but everything looks so... is pitch brown a phrase? Very unappealing.

It's too bad that nobody made a Jonny Quest costume for Canada's Wonderland and other Taft Broadcasting parks as well.

Well they did have the Cindy Bear costume this was the first park to receive a cindy bear walkaround because I saw some pics on Facebook that taken from the mid 80's
