G'day CSS, nice pickup on the Canadian nickel dollar coins to complete your set, cool designs & a reasonable price at $2 each, great pickup on the 1/4 oz buffalo silver round, it was interesting to see so many items on display & for sale at the coin show, I spied a few Aussie coins, luckily my pockets aren't very deep otherwise it would be hard for me to control myself, thank you for sharing an interesting video. The Voyager collection is nice! I’m an expat Canadian now living in the US, at my local coin show you can pick those up for $1 USD typically, I have also built up a date run but I don’t have an 87, will have to keep my eye open for one now. Thanks for the tip.

can anyone answer a question for me? im wondering if I will have to pay any import fees if I order gold bullion from America to Canada

Hey bud I can help with that. The short answer is YES. If you purchase gold or silver from the states as it comes across the border it will be hit with taxes and a customs fee. Even if its pure silver and gold and should NOT be taxed Good Luck on getting that tax back from customs. It has effectively stopped me from buying from bullion sites in the USA as any fees you may save on spot price will be lost plus more as it hits the border... NOW this being said, If you have a friend in the States that can get you the same items and then send them to you as a gift (No Fees on a present as it crosses the border) ;) I have also heard of people using proxy address services to do the same thing... but then again you are paying a fee... which is just an increase to the premium paid. @@workingbulldogs Good question. I will be honest & say I don't really know. The one fee is for inspection so no disputing that. From what I have read online some have tried to claim the taxes back with very little success. I have never tried personally with Customs. But I have rekindled my tax form other sources like ebay, & I will say it was a journey not an easy thing. When I read about ppl trying to claim back from Customs and failing I just didnt bother and stopped ordering from the states. Hope this helps Happy Stackin eh!
