Problem is, these “laws” don’t get reversed. So, I’m not sure at what point Canadians should move on. Having “prohibited” guns at home, unable to go shoot them or compete with them, doesn’t help much. People don’t want to educate themselves about gun violence. I got screwed so bad. Not only did I have a firearm on the list. For the last 7 months I've been saving money every week off my pay. I wanted to buy a 9mm carbine. A Freedom Ordinance Fx-9. I was ready to purchase it Friday December 13th. That being the final payday that I needed to pay for the purchase. When I saw the news last week I can't explain the disappointment I felt. And the hate that I have for this government. Gun owners in the next 10 months they are going to try and divide us down the middle. Hunters versus sport shooters. We need to stay together as one unit, we need to vote as one unit. We are one unit. We are legal firearm owners. The disappointment hurts but I will never give them up and I will never give up on the fight.

It's different down there, in the USA owning weapons for self-defense is considered a basic human right. In Canada owning guns is a licensed privilege only and it is expressly forbidden to use guns in Canada for defending yourself.

Do not comply a law cannot be enforced if no one complies. The OIC was issued illegally and should be overturned in the latest ruling by the supreme court of Canada when the CCFR had their appeal heard. If the justices of the supreme court are not partisan and will actually uphiold the law they will have no choice but to overturn the OIC which wilkl negate all these bans and the handgun freeze everything it will all go back to the way it was

Nope. The correct way to approach this problem is to bunch together for lawsuits when the buy-back price is unfair. Once the government announces buyback, we should eagerly sell our guns if the price is good. Take that money and turn it into new firearms. If they keep banning more guns, they need to keep buying our guns. They are just paying us to experience more firearms at that point. Retailers and ranges will profit, and in turn strengthen the community with more events and activities that promote firearm sports and recreation. Cash is king, get it flowing!
