I can't stop laughing at, "Oh there's a Tarmogoyf! That's an easy first pick." Pascal is such a legend and I loved seeing him as a guest! (57:40 timestamp for anyone who wants to see it). Also, I guess I'll explain the reference for newer players. Pascal Maynard was in the Top 8 of a Grand Prix and had the choice between a foil Tarmogoyf (worth around $400 at the time) and Burst Lightning (a worthless Common that was strong in Draft and would have made his deck better). He took the Tarmogoyf and it caused an uproar because people thought it was crazy to see someone money drafting in a high level event.
@Villakarvarousku8 ай бұрын
Ah, I'd heard of the Tarmogoyf pick so I knew what they were referencing, but I didn't realise it was actually him! Thanks!

Applying such a point system to Commander is intriguing to me. It will probably open up a lot of variety in cEDH without actually banning anything. In casual, it can be translated into some sort of salt score that can do much to ease the need of a Rule 0 talk.
