On a more down to Earth item that has been plaguing Ontarians for decades is the multiple taxation on ridiculously inflated valuation of used cars by Service Ontario. Every time a car is re-sold, it is taxed. And the big catch is that Service Ontario applies the tax on a valuation that is through the roof. You pay $500 for a near junk to a friend and Service Ontario will tell you that they value it $10,000 and you have to pay tax on that amount. This has been going on for decades. If Doug Ford wants to do something tangible for the people, let him fix that.
