Damn im trying to imagine that sight right now. Zulus are amazing people. Man I shed literal tears when i watched a documentary here on KZbin on how the Zulu kingdom were defeated by the British empire. All I know is that the British had to study this great nation in fine detail to have overthrown their military. Im still pissed at King Setshwayo cos it happened during his reign.

I am so happy that this resonates with you. I am 100% Zulu from Durban! The saddest part is that the apartheid government made an effort to program the different tribal groups to turn the pride you felt so deeply into envy and disdain. Zulu dancing groups like this could be out in Ushaka Marine World, performing their dances for free every Sunday, and the non-Zulu black South Africans would feel unsafe, attacked and insulted. It is the most bizarre thing I have ever witnessed in this country.
