I try and take a wide search pattern around ur catch area out to about 200 yards. I found coyote that was caught mid body. He finally past about 150 yards out. Or maybe a deer got in it. Put one of your trail cams there 2 nice cats though. You earned them that’s for sure. Well done my man. God bless

What would a fella need to start a relatively modest trap line these days? Obviously the proper licensing and permits along with permissions to use, go without saying. I'm in the south western part of nys near the PA state line. I know that I'm not going to see wolverine and Canadian lynx round here but we have fishers,weasels, bobcats, coyotes, and other fur bearing critters and trapping even if not very profitable like it was in the past, appeals to me as a sideline. PM me if you care to and lmk please. TIA
@donaldhofman525719 күн бұрын
Your best information will be from the nys department of fish and wildlife ! Every state has different rules!
@ksalz197018 күн бұрын
@@donaldhofman5257 Thanks for the reply. I must say however that the information you gave was pretty clinical, although accurate. I was hoping for an opinion based on first hand experience rather than a textbook answer. I will pursue your advice through the aforementioned channels and continue to hold out for some "boots on the ground" advice as well. Thanks again.
@KGPNBK18 күн бұрын
I hope this helps. There are plenty of you tube channels with tons of valuable information. Everyone has their own take on it but in general the basics are the same. Google F&T Trading Post if they don't sell it you don't need it. I hope this helps. You will learn more about wildlife trapping than any other way. Good luck and tight chains.
