Then while i was going to continue the race i received a message on the phone, so i fell again at the next turbo pad ramp, and i noticed that aku aku didn't save me... after that i tried a couple of time how did that happen and I realized the right method 😉 it was just a lot of luck and coincidences

I'm not sure if enough people play the switch version split screen to notice this but only in split screen I've had a problem where Baby Crash's head contorts and the TNT is left behind small on the ground. This needs to be forwarded to BEENOX so they can patch it out. I think these were patched out but 2 other glitches I noticed before Grand Prix was in split screen, Fake crash contorted weird in the base normal kart and Komodo Joe's head disappeared when TNT was on it. Also split screen gets terrible lag sometimes when player 1 finishes causing it to crash if player 2 does advanced moves. Finally sometimes it crashed time trials but not the way that deletes your save like on PS4.

I have three friends who heard about this glitch. Two of them decided to never use it at all, even to farm for coins. However, the third friend decided to do it all the time, even during online. I tried to convince him not to do it and avoid becoming a cheater, but he didn't care. He just wanted to be better than everyone else and was willing to cheat in order to do so. I decided to stop playing with him until he decides to stop using the glitch. Saddens me that there are people who don't care about fun or fairness as long as they're willing to cheat to win.

two key errors here: Firstly you dont have to hit the pipe. landing on the right of it works too. whats important is where you respawn has to be after the jump secondly: you MUST get a boost start from respawning. even a minor one will work.

Another detail about the glitch is that you can air-brake after the ramp and land on the ground right after and drive into the death plane next to the ramp to guarantee that you'll re-spawn in the correct spot (the game remembers the last platform you touch, this explains why the hot air skyway hairpin ramp shortcut re-spawned you back at the ramp if you miss it).

There is also some kind of exploit on Hot Air Skyway, though I'm not sure how it's done. As I was getting my ass knocked around by rockets and bombs, some obvious cheater managed to get everyone a DNF my completing the track in about 50 seconds. I've got this shenanigan recorded on my PS4. My guess is that it's similar to the one in Tiger Temple where you drive off road in a specific spot, and the game places you back behind the finish line and counts it as a lap. I was salty that nobody else got to finish a single lap, and I was given no time to catch up and was caught in 6th place by the DNF timer.

@Canadian Guy Eh What you didn't know, is that what matters most, is that you MUST Boost when you Respawn after hitting the yellow Pipe... If you Don't, that's what makes it fail (the mask picks you up instead of letting you skip the lap) The only time you fail the first part (the pipe) is if you jump too early into it.. in which case, you'll just end up in front of the ramp again... if you end up behind the ramp, you did it right.... this is when you need to spawn-boost, you dont have to maintain it, but you do have to at least activate it... then you can skip the lap... however, if you fall off the track before you hit the finish line, it'll take you to the first ramp again. If you fail to spawn-boost, just hop and turn to the pipe and drive towards it, it doesnt matter how close you get to the pipe. if you spawn infront of the ramp, be sure to boost, if not, try again. i Hope this Clarifies it. I'm thinking that the Respawn-Boost is an essential part of the lap-skip glitch in general, not just on N.Gin Labs.

This trick works most reliably when I use Zam; probably because his model leans so far forward in his car that when he bashes his face into the pipe, it’s more likely to register that he’s on the other side of the map. So yeah, use Zam for this trick to farm coins.

Well, uploading it to youtube is actually good, it makes the glitch viral so Beenox can notice pretty easy and patch it as quickly as possible. Using in Time Trials the glitch isn't that bad, cuz the speedrunning leaderboards (not the leaderboard of the game) resets every patch. Using it in Online Matchmaking IS bad, knowing that shortcut gives you an unfair advantage and ruins the experience of others

I myself am a avid competitive player (currently in the top 20 on the leaderboards) and seeing people just climbing to the top with no effort at all (straight cheating) makes me mad, same as for when people abuse it for easy online wins on matchmaking sessions.

Videos are actually good. They get the developer's attention faster, and the visuals might help them figure out *what* is causing the glitch, leading to it being patched faster. If it gets out of hand, they can always disable the track online while they fix it.

FYI: You don't need to hit that pipe at all. You can just hold brake while going over the jump normally so that it won't boost you, making you fall down the gap in front. Make sure to always get a boost start when you respawn and the glitch will still work.

So the part about hitting the pipe activating a trigger is wrong from my experience. You are actually skipping a trigger, or rather, you're spawning inside of a trigger zone that is only detecting if a kart drives into it, but not if it spawns in it or drives out of it. If you don't boost when you respawn, you activate the trigger because you roll slightly backwards and have to drive into the trigger. I've uploaded a vid of me doing this glitch in three different ways that don't involve the pipe if you want to see for yourself.

You don't have to hit the pipe or get anywhere near it for it to work. The key to getting it to work is these 3 things... 1) You HAVE to get the drop boost when Uka Uka drops you back onto the track. 2) IMMEDIATELY start powersliding & boost twice makes it easier to hit the ramp. 3) DO NOT hop/jump off the ramp because if you do, more often than not Uka Uka will grab you.

FELON i feel what they should do is patch the shortcut online. I dont know if youve played Mario Kart Wii since WFC shutdown, but there is an online service the community uses called Wiimmfi. The glitch is available for use offline, but as soon as you go online the glitches dont count the lap. The fact that a team of fans of a game that is 11 years old can do a better job at handling glitches than an actual company is ridiculous.

I would like to give some pointers on how the glitch works. Canadian Guy Eh, please pin this for me: After you crash onto that pipe (or where the robots are shown, whichever works) when you respawn, get the turbo boost once aku/uka drops you off. That is necessary for the glitch to work guaranteed.

@@excalibur493 Actually it wasn't in the game back then at all. I was looking high and low for a Tawna Spray which didn't exist. Then the 2nd or 3rd day of this Grand Prix I noticed it say *Tawna Pink* It wasn't there before. Even Canadian Guy mentions in one of his back in time reviews that maybe the pink skin that's in the bronze tier is the Tawna Skin. Spoiler Alert it's not.

I don't really have a problem w/people taking advantage of the glitch Online due to Activi$ion implementing Microtransactions. The only time I have a problem w/it is when people still have their Daily Bonus & lose because of others doing the glitch. People need to keep finding glitches that we can farm Wumpa Coins fast since it's insane that they're adding Microtransactions. Glitches to farm WC fast are going to make this game survive longer.

CGE, I've been trying the glitch since we got the Spyro GP and I've had a 0% success rate when I was usually getting about 90-95% success. Doesn't matter the character either, as I've been using multiple characters. I think the glitch has been fixed with the update.
