This song is my favorite from their album. I cried listening to it and I cried even more by reading the translated lyrics. Dear KZbin BTS Reactors, Hi there. I’m a baby ARMY (meaning I’ve only been in the fandom for a few months) but I love BTS so much. As I continue my BTS journey, I’ve learned so much about this fandom. Not only do I understand the unparalleled enthusiasm of ARMY, but I also understood how important BTS is for them. We are BTS’s keyboard bulletproof shield. We protect the boys from much of the negativity of this world and all the others who are hopping on the bandwagon of their fame. This includes KZbin reactors. While we understand that some of you are looking to earn from KZbin or are just here to connect with people, there is something you need to understand also: BTS is all about being genuine. BigHit and BTS succeeded because they are true to themselves and their fans. The whole fandom understands this and that is the reason why we are really, really committed to the boys and their music. Because of this, we can smell fake reactors a mile away. This world is full of sh*t and there are so many fake people in the world that we look to BTS for a breath of fresh air and to come up for air once in a while from a sea of fake-ness all around us. As such, we want reactors who are also into BTS for the same reason that we are into BTS. Therefore, as a baby ARMY who loves to watch and discover for KZbin reactors, here are my 2 cents if you want to succeed in this fandom: 1. If you’re new to BTS, look into them because you are genuinely curious and want to know more, not just for views or for your channel to gain popularity. As I’ve said, we know if you’re genuine in your intentions or not. This is one of the first big reasons why ARMYs love youtube reactions: we want other people to be introduced to BTS and we love it when other people give the boys a chance. This is because BTS is surrounded by negative stereotypes that we wish to remove. When people discover them, we all dance the happy dance! 2. Follow the advice of ARMY in the comments on what videos to watch first because the BTS world is so complex and goes back 7 years. Their MV’s are literally connected to each other. You will never gain full experience and fully understand everything if you just watch random videos for views. It would take time for you to watch and understand them all that’s why it’s imperative that you start from the beginning. You will be mind-blown and you will enjoy the ride once you get to connect the dots. 3. Starting from the beginning is something that ARMYs love because we love to reminisce our own BTS journey with you. That is one of the big reasons why ARMYs love to watch KZbin reactors. 4. When you’ve gotten to know the boys and their music, you can either like them or not. Yes, you are allowed NOT to like them (lol). We don’t want you to “like” what you don’t like. Honestly, we would love if you are honest with us and the boys. Not everyone will like them and their music. We get it. But please don’t force yourself to continue watching the videos if you don’t really like BTS. It’s painful to watch. LOL. You will not only get tons of unlikes, but you will also lose subscribers. Again, the word “genuine” comes up and it’s part of BTS culture. You will also get much respect from true ARMYs because of this. 5. If in the event that you actually like BTS and want to continue your journey, I suggest that you take your time at your own pace and not kill yourself churning out reaction videos lol. I have only been in this fandom for 4 months and watch BTS-related videos every single day and I have not even scratched the surface! If I could take a wild guess I would say there are tens of thousands of BTS videos out there in the web that you can react to so there’s so much content that could last you a lifetime. 6. To avoid copyrights strikes and to avoid YT blocking your videos, don’t hesitate to reach out to ARMY not only in KZbin be we’re also active in twitter as well. There’s lots of ARMYs who would really love to help you so your videos won’t get taken down. 7. Reach out to your ARMY comments, reply to them, make them feel welcome in your channel. You will learn a LOT from us and us from you. Even though we are literally continents away from each other, we love interacting online and it makes our day if we get to connect. 8. Be your genuine self (there’s that word again haha). We actually know if you’re fake reacting and we have a long list of KZbin reactors who we know to be clout chasers and they’re just painful to watch. We like it when you are being your real self. If you’re chatty and love to move around, do it. If you’re the silent type and loves to take things slow, be like that. We are human beings after all. 9. We really, really, really dislike it if you’re using us ARMY for views. It’s an insult to our intelligence (yes, we are an intelligent bunch of people, exhibit A is me: I speak in 4 languages and english is not even my first language, I own several businesses and have a family of my own and I’m also a winner of several music composition contests so there’s that). We also want to protect other younger or more innocent ARMYs who are being taken advantage of because of their love for the boys. ARMY is composed of people of all ages, gender, nationality and social economic standing. Yes, we are not just teenage girls, and even if we are teenage girls there’s nothing wrong with that, because these teenagers are actually intelligent, eloquent and high achievers. Namjoon/RM and Suga and other BTS members were also still teenagers when they started writing and producing really, really awesome lyrics and music. In short, widen your perspective in thinking about who and what ARMY is. :-) MOST IMPORTANT TAKEAWAY: I discover 2-3 new BTS youtube reactors a day and I can honestly say I only religiously follow 3-5 of them. The others, I don’t really pay attention to anymore. The only ones who are genuine reactors are the ones who have the most likes and follows and views. Be yourself, be genuine. The views and likes will follow. I promise you. :-) Sending you positivity and love! PS: Dear fellow ARMYs, this is just my opinion and observation. Please don’t get mad at me and send me hate comments. I love you all and also sending you positivity in these chaotic times. I purple you all!
