Classic Chinese snacks: big white rabbit candy 大白兔奶糖，preserved fruits such as plums (蜜饯, 话梅）lots of savory snacks such as dried fish, marinated tofu… these are more traditional Chinese snacks. The savory snacks may be more challenging for western palate.

仙贝米饼确实是国人回忆，但事实上算是日本的零食，当年旺旺买的日本生产线出来的 我觉得代表中国的零食应该是果干呀，蜜饯呀，山楂片啥的。

Among the all I've tried, the ones I'd always buy when I'm in the stores are 1) 黃飛紅花生 Huangfeihong Spicy Peanuts, and 2) big white rabbit candy 大白兔奶糖. But take it easy with 黃飛紅花生 Huangfeihong Spicy Peanuts as you could easily gain weight from eating too much. 各式蜜餞也好吃，不過買到好吃的得碰運氣。
