Nothing better than summer time down the coast! What tide have they been most active? Even in the lakes I find they are still very impacted by the tides.
@louisfishingodyssey Жыл бұрын
High tides is always best mate , I have caught quite a few on the low at first light , that's when they are feeding most 😉🤙

Damn good content man, those strikes are what it's all about. Question, How do you manage to cast such a light lure like the sugapen on 20lb line? I find it impossible to cast lighter lures on anything above 10 lb.
@louisfishingodyssey Жыл бұрын
Cheers mate 🤙. I always run very fine PE braid , general 8 strand and above. I'm currently using the Dangan braid , I find this casts really well with most lures 😉

what an awsome vid man.. im heading to the goldcoast the start of march for a few days, family holiday ahaha but would love to try hook one of these beauties!! any pointers for my biggest chance to find one? morning or arvo? any area you could slighly narrow down ? cheers mate
@louisfishingodyssey10 ай бұрын
Thanks mate 👍 We have had a fair bit of rain over the last 6 weeks which has seemed to flushed alot of the larger fish out . I've found that the Nerang and Coomera rivers fish well that time of year , those systems seem to hold better quality , fishing early morning has also worked well for me. If the water quality improves then the topwater should fire 😉👍

Hello from Germany, why do you put all them back? Are they edible?
@louisfishingodyssey9 ай бұрын
Hi Alexey , they are all edible however I catch and release all the inshore fish. Reef fish offshore however is a different matter 🍴😉
@alexey1212889 ай бұрын
@@louisfishingodysseyNice. I respect "catch and release" fishing, unfortanalelly in Germany it's illegal. Which local fish species are the best in terms of cooking?
@louisfishingodyssey9 ай бұрын
@alexey121288 yeah catch and release is very common in Australia with fishing on the coasts population around the whole of Australia. The inshore table fish that are most popular are, flathead , whiting , jewfish that sort of stuff. Offshore we generally target , snapper , Jewfish, kingfish , Mackerel, wahoo , cobia...all that sort of stuff. We a very spoilt for selection in Aus 😁👍
