Canal Lateral a la Loire - Part 3

In May 2010 we sailed the entire canal from Briare to Decize, and now in August we do it again together with our grandchildren. We especially remember the little restaurant in Ménétréol. PK157. Beautiful and very quiet canal.

Hi, yes the stretch of canal is fantastic and we enjoyed every second of it. The lock keepers are all very helpful and we enjoyed the company of the other canal users. We are looking forward to going back, but next time, take about six weeks rather than doing it in two weeks. There is so much more to explore with too many favourite locations to list!! Enjoy your next adventure, your grandchildren will love the experience.
