I completely enjoy how you show us the towns you stop at and the interesting sights. I also love to visit old churches / cathedrals. The architecture is always worth viewing, and I've always loved a cloister garden! Thanks for sharing! Oops! almost forgot - it would be interesting to hear more about those who link canals thru the rivers - like how Ian did crossing the Mersey and can narrowboats use the Manchester ship canal to get up to a diff canal? You may do, or talk about, this in a later vid - but just in case not, it would be an interesting topic for a rainy day! Every time I look at a canal map and see one that ends at a port - I wonder if it is possible to travel from that port to another one north or south that also has a canal.

The boiler in the washingroom! I'm 67 years (young) and used to help my mother on washingdays with such a boiler in the first two places we lived. I made the fire and kept it going for the whole washing day (usually once a month - it was only boiling wash). As a bonus me and my younger brother were allowed to steambath (sauna) in the washingroom after the washing was done. At last we washed ourselves in the rest of the hot water in the kettle (in danish the kettel is called "gruekedel").
