You can get a nice pint of Caffreys in the Mill Hotel i found out last year when we stayed there, had the breakfast and enjoyed a pint at 11 o'clock 😂 Thought you might have gone in the Lockkeepers further down, nice seating area outside and great views of the bridge and boats. Great video and I agree about the modern pale ales, theyre not an easy drink!

I always enjoy your out and about videos, but especially so when you're in familiar territory. Love the Pied Bull in Chester for its own brewed ales, always worth a visit. I've never been to the Mill Hotel so that's a new one on my radar now - looks worth a visit. Cheers!

I had to google Chester to see where it was in England. Looks like a very lovely place. We have tons of micro breweries making good beer in the US, but we just don't have the wonderful old pubs. Thanks for showing them, Dave.

I don't actually drink that much, (don't bother at home) I also swim & cycle and 200 sit ups a day. Regarding vids in the UK its a half hour flight or 3.5 hours ferry from the island...so I try to fit some filming in if away from home...cheers for tuning in Gary😊👍

Good peak at some of the Chester Pubs. Great little city. I went toTelford's Warehouse in 1997 to see, "The Men They Couldn't Hang" great gig. Fantastic venue. Then in about 2001 I cycled from home in Bromborough, Wirral, along the canal to Chester. Went to Telford's Warehouse for a recovery pint and noticed the barman speaking Welsh with a customer,and another chap reading a book in Welsh. Not surprising really as Chester is right on the border, but great to hear. Keep the terrible Dad jokes coming.

Love the Three Tuns beers. XXX is very good, but try the Cleric's Cure if you get the chance. My village is halfway between Shrewsbury (Salopian) and Bishop's Castle (Three Tuns) but the pubs serve Whitbread and Marston's. I don't patronise the village pubs as a result.

Great tour around Chester! Being from the States it's great to see where you go and get a small glimpse of places I'm not particularly familiar with. Looks like some great places to grab a pint, especially the Pied Bull! One thing I noticed for the first time, a couple of the pubs have what look like mats or towels at each seat at the bar. Is that common? Cheers!

Blimey your observant, yes many pubd have mats or beer towels of a brewery name spread all over the bar. Soaks up beer spillage😊 Some of the best historic cities are Chester, York, Bath, Edinburgh. Thanks for tuning in👍😊

There are many better Salopian beer IMO. I much prefer their black label range - everything tends to be very tasty, very hop-forward.

Idrink around the lower bridge St area these days The Spitting feathers brewery tap,Cross Fox's (Joules pub) the Bear & billet(which only recently stopped selling Okells bitter which was a regular ale)The falcon Sam Smith's pub is reopening soon which has been closed since Covid cheers 👍
