As a small business operator in this country I find it repugnant that a public servant would be paid $800k. People in government and the public service are clueless to real world issues and realities. It is an insult to those of us in small business that battle each day with the rising costs, including taxes and government over reach (bureaucracy and compliance red tape). The flagrant disregard these people have for spending taxpayers money is reprehensible. Kerry Packer was spot on. It’s no wonder people try and dodge the “system “ , when there is no incentive to try and get ahead. The public service needs to be reduced each year to a more acceptable level.
@wyattfamily8997 Жыл бұрын
There are "Public Servants " in Australian Governments that are paid IN EXCESS of $1 MILLION per year, and keep it very quiet, especially from the over 100,000 homeless Australians (10,000 children). It would be interesting to know how many investment properties they own too.

We are all going down, we have no future, and no matter what these expert journalists are reporting to us, it is only a matter of time before the people of Australia and across the world will realise that our very existence will mean nothing. It has already started, the homeless numbers are increasing, corrupt elite real estate agents and landlords working in unison for monetary gain, corrupt corporate food chains, fleecing the vulnerable of every last cent of welfare recipients, tradesmen builders not getting paid, work from home employees, the list goes on and it is not only in Australia, it is Global, it is a G7, Agenda 21/30 program and guess what? our interests, our lives, our future is not included, only AI. Right now what we have achieved in our lives have only benefited the corrupt Empire/s across the world, we are all freedom slaves, they’ve been ripping every cent from us since Caesar to build the infrastructures, mighty empires across this planet. Y’all think you know the system, y’all only know how to get educated into a system that only benefits the 1%. Wake up, take a good look at yourselves my friends because right now, it is time begin to learn the art of survival, they’re already bombarding us all with subliminal survival entertainment reality shows such as Alone, Survivor etc. dangling the golden cash prize carrot, it’s right before your eyes. One has to wonder what value some of these public servants are adding to the Australian society and their constituency if they have no idea how much they are paid in remuneration. They set the remuneration for these people at a commensurate rate for someone in business running a company with a similar budget. This is supposed to make sure they retain the best people for the job and won't lose them to the private sector. The problem is, public servants don't have to manage their departments or budgets to a similar degree (there is always more money), nor will they lose their jobs if they mess up. At 845k per year, it works out to 32,500 per fortnight. I am on a pension, and last year I received 23,600 for the entire year.

Mr Kenny’s pointless whining about payments to public servants ignores the fact that the Au Govt paid $1.4 billion to the Big Four consultancies last year. This is a five fold increase from a decade ago. This is the big story. The diminishing of the PS has seen us outsource public jobs to private consultancies that pretend to be “experts” on everything. These external “experts” just so happen to donate $millions annually to our political parties for which they are showered in the gold of Govt contracts which make their donations the best investment in town. As PWC has proven - they can’t be trusted. KPMG have exhibited similar criminal behaviour in the US & Canada.
