Ich stand schon an der gleichen Stelle... über 100 Jahre nach diesen Aufnahmen! Unglaublich irgendwie...

Love it! Thank you for this precious video footage! It's unbelievable that some of these buildings survived WWI and WWII and one can walked passed them or ride on a tram still these days.

Not exactly unbelievable if you see the hideous but impressive flak towers that were a huge deterrent for bombers during that time and are still major landmarks you can see today. But it is definitely awesome that so much is still there, that is for sure :)

Gustav Mahler was Director at the Opera at this time. It's a pity there isn't a bit of film footage of him walking down the street. At this time in history, Wien represented a pinnacle of Western cultural achievement. It's great to have even this little piece of film.

The upcoming so called Metaverse should be a possibility to create a link between such historical films and Virtual Reality. So if you're in the mood to make a little travel back in time you just wear your VR glasses and walk through Vienna around 1900. And AI makes it possible to talk with people from that time.

I ha.. colorized versions. Black and white has its charm that can't be reproduced. Plus this type of colorization is faulty as hell. PS. If anyone see Freud somewhere, let me know. ;)
