Canbus and steering wheels not working on android head unit, E93

I am trying to program my android to the steering wheel controls. But I am having problem with the volume +/- the unit is seeing them as the same. + has a resistances value of 3000hms and - is 150 ohms. I have a spare switch and the resistances are the same so the switch is fine. Has anyone had the same problem and did you solve the problem.

You have a small white plug next to the canbus, it must be plugged into the navigation to take the commands. Look in the video that you touch it with your hand

If you watch, i unplugged it and plugged it in, i actually figured this out, you need to go to the Factory menu, and set the canbus to the one thats plugged in. this then gives you the controls for the steering wheel. ill get another video up at some point showing it

Make sure the pins in the connector isn’t bent, I found that out the hard way

The problem with the rear camera is that you need to buy one rear camera compatible with your multimedia.. I had a old android with rear cam and I put a new one multimedia and I’ve tried to use the old rear cam… and I had the same problem… you need to buy a rear cam compatible with this multimedia 😊

Its a new cam, the one that came with it, wouldn't even get a signal, from what i can tell, its because the reverse light voltage isnt stable, this is part of the BMW system of checking if the bulbs are working.

No, i was not connected, have you connected all the cables correctly? i also uploaded a video that fixes this issue.

@@Notalliswhatitseems i have a Volkswagen Tiguan i connected the pink wire like you showed in the other video and still nothing the radio is advertised for 2017 tiguan but the 2019 is exactly the same i doubt they changed any of the wiring i sent it back to get another unti maybe the canbus box was messed up idk🤷🏽‍♂️ if you know about wiring maybe u can help me when i get the new unit?

The problem was when it was shipped it was shipped with out the canbus wire to connect to radio it had the end to connect to the canbus but not the radio smh!

I have an issue with the volume not saving in the learning procedure. The Track Next/Prev. and Mute buttons work just not the volume. Any help would be appreciated. 2011 Cadillac SRX

With the correct canbus selected, my steering wheel controls work, but I can't "learn" them. Anyone know the fix for this?

@@DuaneStorey Head units that use CAN bus interfaces cannot utilize the learn feature.

Any idea why? In an aftermarket headunit it could interpret any button the way it wants, no?

@@DuaneStorey Typically you would use an actual audio interface that can be programmed for different manufactures. A CANbus is hardcoded and can't be changed; at least that's my understanding.
