Cancelled Animated Films

Today I’ll be diving in some cancelled films from Disney, Nickelodeon, dreamworks and other studios about films they’ve worked on but have never saw the light of day for one reason or another.
Yeah I know I don’t post often but like I’ll try to post more I just focus on two channels.

Remember when I posted? Me either it was like 2 months ago but here we are. So why don't I post often whats up? Well 2 reasons, One school mainly because I'm usually working on tests and schools work and 2 I have another channel for toontown so usually the cycle is like 1 month on that channel and one month on this channel. Yeah Its a mess but I still like posting on that channel. I usually make videos on a game called toontown. Its something I've been doing for like 3 years and I've had so much fun talking about that game. I wanna focus on this as well since this channel helps me talk about anything that isn't that game. Now don't worry I'm far from running out of ideas already or something like that but I promise I'll release one more video this year. I know I usually say like i will do it but end up doing that but ill do it even if it kills me. Anyways though I'll see ya guys next time and ill have more updates with other stuff in my community tab. Take care.

One of the interesting cancelled animated movies I found out was one for the Gorillaz band, it was gonna be a animated movie by dreamworks but due to them having disagreements and dreamworks wanting Gorillaz to be kid friendly than what they had in mind they cancelled but it seems like they are gonna try to make another movie with netflix let's hope it gets made

Plus he did know about Kamp Koral and was working on it before he died so it’s likely that he may have changed his mind about spinoffs.

12:44 actually, the movie was cancelled sometime after it was announced due to script problems and was replaced by “Mickey Donald Goofy: The Three Musketeers” in 2004. That 2005 report was probably a hoax as there is no proof of its existence…

As a terrible animator, I know why so many projects get cancelled so often. Because you do so much work over a period of time... and it’s never fast enough for the times that change. I’d make a an animation and the trend is already over and on to the next thing.. I never upload any of my shit. XD

Another Dreamworks movie that was canceled was the original Shrek 5. Since when the first movie came out, Dreamworks already started planing 4 sequels but I don’t really know how much of it was actually worked on since it was decided that the 4th Shrek movie will be the last one pretty early in its development . And then in 2016 when it was announced that there will be a Shrek 5 for 2019 nothing really came of it except it was delayed until 2022.

I know that this is a old movie, but Illumination was gonna make a stop-motion animated Addams Family movie with Tim Burton, which not only sounds more interesting that Illumination's current catalog but also sounds better than The Addams Family animated movie we actually got and then it got cancelled

One I'm disappointed you didn't mention was jungle book 3, where baloo and shere khan were captured and put in a circus, the movie would have given shere khan some character development, I'm really sad it was never done. As well as the obvious one, Blue sky's Nimona which was basically finished before blu sky studios was shut down

Speaking of the topic that is canceled movies (this wasn't from the list, neither had it been produced or thought through by animators and/or produces), I really do agree that Rock-A-Doodle should've had a sequel in the mid 90's era (around 1994) of 2D animated film. If there were such a project in an alternate timeline, then here is who I would want casted in the movie (this will be updated in the future): Chris Farley (Patou. Secondary character), Bruce Campbell (Chanticleer. Secondary character), Mara Wilson (Sissy. She is Chanticleer's daughter), Eddie Murphy (Richard Higgens. The villian, who is also a humble and elderly farmer), Sandy Duncan (Peepers. Another secondary character), Dolly Parton (Mrs. Higgens. The secondary villian, and is also the wife of Richard Higgens), Toby Scott Ganger (older/teenaged Edmond. Main character), and John Lithgow (Grand Duke. The secondary villian)... I think that the sequel would've received a better reception and would've had a more ambitious story, where Edmond (now a teenager) and his family has to leave their farm, after receiving word that somebody wants to buy their farm and use the land as a section of land for the soul purpose of digging up fossil fuels from the soil. So Edmond and the gang have to go on yet another journey (this time in Edmond's own car), to stop their home from being sold to a couple, named Richard Higgens and Mrs. Higgens, all with the help of Chanticleer's father and cousins hundreds of miles away from the farm, and only have so little time before their home is taken from them. This movie in my opinion would've been theatrical, and would've had much cleaner animation quality similar to that Rugrats movie, a memorable cast, and memorable soundtrack to sing along to (one of the songs included being Plush By Stone Temple Pilots)... This would've been the first AND last animated film to feature Chris Farley, as he would die in 1997 while working on an earlier rendition of the film Shrek. Also, since the animation had improved since the first now having some 3D animated elements, a TOTTALLY different studio would've worked on the film from around 1991-1994, when the film would eventually be released publicly to a wider audience (including a wider range of promotional works like McDonald's toys, other merchandises, posters, trailers, and commercials). In this films own universe, it would be such a success that DreamWorks would've got rights to the movie, entered The National Film Registry in 2000, would've had a wide release on digital media, and would've become vaporwave nostalgia and one of the best 90's movies of all time to many (as in music and video), even would've become a meme! Most importantly, the movie would have a higher rate in budget thanks to live-action-2D hybrid being put to use throughout the movie, since The Grand Duke is pretty much useless, as he was shrunken at the end of the first film and is ALMOST harmless... In the sequel and similar to a few scenes in Ratatouille, the animals he had befriended are in his imagination and appear more often than Gusto in Ratatouille, having conversations, singing some road trip songs, providing him with information and advice, and would talk to and interact each other since he has faith for them in his heart for them, after long forgetting about these critters for well over a decade. And because he shows faith (not holy faith... This isn't a Christian movie 😄) all of these years later, he can do more than dream about them while drifting off to sleep, and can see them within his own imagination and actually imagine what they can provide/do to support him when he needs that said support

I was also going to see a Planet Sheen TV movie that was going to be about Jimmy Carl, Cindy and Libby, who were going to look for Sheen. Regarding the early Sonic movie and its companion game, Sonic Xtreme, the main reason it got cancelled was because of the game. Xtreme went through development hell due to Sega Technical Institute (the US devs) being inexperienced with transferring it to 3D at the time. At one point, the devs decided to use the engine used for NiGHTS Into Dreams, but Yuji Naka, who was working on the game, quickly told them to stop and threatens to leave Sega. Other conflicts included disputes between the Japanese and American branch, and health problems within Sega Technical Institute. I wonder why there was never a Sly Cooper film or animated series that was a cool concept of a game. Anyway that Mickey movie sounded fire and kinda like Kingdom Hearts,so it makes sense why it didnt come out, even though the concept wouldve been dope. Or they can just gimme my KH anime or movie series. The Boo smovies sounded pretty dope, too. Too bad Hollywood keep making the same formulaic lackluster most expensive crap and actually lacks the testicular fortitude to take risks on cool concepts that would actually make money. Every time I see one of these cancelled movies it makes me disappointed in this industry, 200 million the most ripest piece of crap every quarter and wonder why only ppl weirdos who only go to the movies because its tradition are the ones that go and see the most benile boring and sad representation of entertainment in existence. Hollywood is truly down bad from Disney to Sony and everything else that they have to dig up old IP and try to retool it as a sequel even though it has had a finite ending to the series already. The movies that deserve sequels get ignore to make convulted eye cancer films about nothing who tf wanted Inside Out 2 or Toy Story 5, love Jack Black, but Kung Fu Panda 4, why. And I think there is a new Despicable Me, just why? Wheres my Big Hero 6 sequel or The real Incredibles 2 not some woke feminist bs, i digress. Hollywood really needs to do better, Id really want to be excited to see something then the New Avatar series comes out and it weird af, how do you fumbled the bag everytime Hollywood, you dont have to make everything make sense or similar to our lives just make a live action version of whats already there, maybe make the conversation less cheesy, not make everyone Batman, they literally did the DC thing from a decade ago, I fucking cant with Hollywood right now, what in the entire fuck?
