That BOTW prototype is exactly what I’d imagine a Zelda maker game would look like

Skyward Sword Zelda on the thumbnail certainly has me curious. I also love hearing the GBA jingle for the opening, such a pleasant and iconic sound. 0:33 - Definitely the best way you could have described that, Otaku Artist. 2:40 - Ah yes, I do recall hearing about. The party comment rang a bell and I do remember one of the characters was to be a fairy. I think the Zelda series is fine without the further RPG elements (so many games go that route nowadays) but a party mechanic would be awesome. The possibility for co-op Zelda or being able to play as some of it’s interesting cast for brief moments (like in Wind Waker) is certainly appealing. 5:01 - I think that is a very plausible theory. Miyamoto, and other Nintendo higher ups, don’t tend to comment on failures often. Zelda 2 is distinct in that regard. 6:40 - Which given time travel was already an explored concept with Ocarina of Time, helps gives Oracle of Seasons more of a distinct flair (though I do much prefer Nayru). I’d never heard of what the concept for the Faore/Courage game would have been so interesting to hear that colour was the idea for it. Seems a bit… lesser, compared to season and time. 8:11 - But… they did; Phantom Hourglass directly follows up Wind Waker’s story. I suppose you could say it’s a detour from the quest to found a new Hyrule but it is still a direct follow-up. Speaking of Wind Waker, one idea I’d love for the Zelda series to return to is the aging mechanic they had considered. One idea they had was, as the game progress, Link would age slowly over time, having multiple stages of his life rather than Ocarina of Time’s sudden jumps between Child and Adult. 10:47 - As said as the lack of story was, I could understand most of these decisions. The lack of boss fights is boggling though. 13:22 - Thus the Skyward Sword Zelda (the best Zelda) in the thumbnail. It pains me that they didn’t include this second quest; it’s such a cool idea. I love getting the opportunity to play through the adventures as different character (the Kirby games do this quite often and it’s a ton of fun each time). 15:49 - Speaking of Vanpool, they were at one point working on a 3DS Zelda game starring a goron as the protagonist. This would eventually morph into their own original IP (though owned by Nintendo), Dillon’s Rolling Western. I recommend you give the series a try, especially the 3rd game, Dead-Heat Breakers.

“The upcoming Tears of the kingdom” oof… really must've been a delayed video if it's this many months later.
