I have been on suboxone for opioid addiction since I was 18 years old and I’m 30. Addiction is a life long journey and thank you for somewhat speaking about your addictions. If you speak on it and be real about it I bet that can help one or more of your viewers to get the help they need. Hi! I’m pretty sure the eye-movement therapy you mentioned is called “EMDR” (unless you’re talking about something different). My mom is a therapist and has been trained in EMDR and has actually had me through multiple EMDR sessions. It’s very gentle so long as you sort of reset yourself in the end, and it’s meant for desensitizing traumatic experiences and memories so they don’t harm you anymore. You actually don’t even have to remember the memory you’re working through and you also don’t have to work through anything specifically. It’s all done through your brain networking! It’s absolutely amazing and it’s done wonders for me- I am completely free of my ptsd and it only took like three months! (I love you both btw

Ok EMDR (the eye movement thing) genuinely works and helps with the right therapist. It has helped me, my trauma, and my ocd SO MUCH. I was a huge skeptic and was like 'this isn't gonna work' but you literally start remembering things you forgot and think of things you weren't actively thinking of

The therapy y’all are talking about is EMDR, it helps move memories to the part of your brain where they’re supposed to be stored instead the part where you’re reliving them. I did it for my PTSD and it immediately decreased my panic attacks.

I did the eye movement therapy! (EMDR). It was super helpful with the severe physical trauma symptoms, which now allows me to work in regular talk therapy on some of the relationship, social, and emotional issues related to the trauma! I highly recommend!!!!

Tana you talking about your recovery and like saying you don’t think you’ll ever go that bad again like idk hearing you talk about your stuff helps me deal with my stuff and helps me stay away from that shit. Watching you do this sober and like being so amazing makes me be hopeful of being able to do the same thing.
