What a breath of fresh air to see 3 smart women talking politics!! I absolutely loved it👏👏👏

Cats hear their mum chatting on the phone or Zoom. As no one else is in the room, the cat assumes their person is talking to them, so they reply. Cats are more polite than we give them credit for!

The only politics related content that I listen to and Grace did a really good job stepping in for Nish; also as a Geordie, I'm not even sure why I get surprised anymore that the Tories dick over the North, I'm honestly more surprised whenever they do anything to benefit us. Also, screw Laurence Fox and GB News in general. I'm also a bit surprised that they didn't cover Braverman's 'Multiculturism has failed' comments

The study British politics in Norway? We British barely study it in schools here. It should be part of the curriculum.

Fox has now apologised for his comments. The way to curb these people is not to take the high road and ignore them, it's to hit them in their pockets. They love their money far more than they love anything else.

Cancelling HS2 is so incredibly foolish. Imagine cancelling all the roads. Also, where does that 100 billion go? It goes to British companies and workers. It's not gone. So silly. Now, the project could maybe be better run, and that's important. But the key is to continually improve efficiency, not to just kill projects.
@jamessullivan6031 Жыл бұрын
Hs2 is not about London it's about Birmingham and it's about unblocking Birmingham new street which has massive knock on to coursing delayes throughout the south West Wales and the north West

There are two main things that I would like to see happen to GB News (other than for it to fail ignominiously as a business & just close down): firstly, sitting MPs HAVE to stop being employed there. As I understand depending on exactly how this happens it can actually be a breach of OFCOM rules, but even if it isn't, it's just giving certain MPs a bully pulpit of what amounts to a TV channel of their own. A permanent party political broadcast where they say whatever they like, with no pushback, and then even if the audience for the the channel isn't huge, proper channels & newspapers clip the most click-baity bits and disseminate them far and wide. Secondly, they need a name change forced on them. It is NOT a news channel, it's right wing propaganda, much of it flat out lies.

I hope everyone who listens to this podcast actually gives the Lib Dems a fair consideration. If they do I think they will find a party that is much more progressive then the current Labour party

I have heard Grace Blakeley speak twice; both times she has altered the way I think about an issue. First podcast, she articulated the problem with gauging ‘the economy’ in terms of GDP, Inflation, Stock Market… vs things that impact standard of living like wages…blow my mind…duh, we need to be discussing issues through a more split economy approach.

Before I've watched a moment of the pod this week, I have to say that I am a huge fan of all the Morse franchises. But I just cannot bear to watch Inspector Lewis anymore, no matter how good Kevin Whately was in it. I am not usually a canceller, but that Fox guy has got to go.

Yeah, I mean, I haven't watched Morse (I think John Thaw from The Sweeney was in it, though?) or any of the adjacent series, but how does Fox go from an actor doing decently well for himself to what seems to be the Aldi version of Andrew Tate? That's like finding out that the bloke who played Inspector Barnaby in Midsummer Murders is a proud member of the EDL.
