I am so thankful that I was lead to this video. My brother was diagnosed with MBC two weeks ago, and not given a great deal of time. This video has greatly increased my understanding of what he is experiencing, and what his caretakers can expect. I've already observed cognitive decline - - great confusion - - and he struggles to find words or complete thoughts. This disease process is horrific and my prayers go out to all who are so afflicted.

7:26 my grandpa had these symptoms 3 days ago and today i just found out that he has 6 tumor inside his brain, this week he was feeling sick and only these last 3 days he started to lose balance ,had severe headachs and would vomit every food and liquid he had left. i am in complete shock of how our lives can change in a blink of an eye, cancer creeping its ways to kill us for months. I wish to be able to say i love him tomorrow and that he understands and also he may leave this world in the least painfull way . If you are reading this i hope your self or loved ones the chance to recover from this devil we call cancer.

My father just passed away 3 days ago from lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain. His passing in hospice on morphine and other drugs was NOTHING compared to watching what the tumors were doing to his executive functioning, memory, speech centers, and emotions. I watched this video prior to his rapid decline. I’m glad I did because I feel like it helped prepared me in my own way to accept his rapid changes and decline.

My mom was just diagnosed on July 28th 2020 with brain mets from her breast cancer, (which had returned after originally being treated in 2017). She passed away on October 29th 2020. It was the worst news and she declined so fast before we could even process what happened. The only blessing is that I got to be her full caregiver for the 3 mths and was there for her last breaths. I still can't accept what has happened, but seeing this video helps me finally understand what exactly she was experiencing. My mom had over 45 metastases when they figured out she had it. Also, in her case, she had absolutely no pain, no headaches, no vomiting...

My sister passed from lung cancer on Sunday 9/18. Her lung cancer had metastasized to her brain and was causing her severe headaches that eventually led to a brain bleed. They removed alot of her tumor out, but her lungs collapsed from how big her lymph nodes got.. She couldn't breath.. So they had to intubate her! She eventually was just being kept alive till her husband wanted to let her go. 😭 She is out of pain and with our parents🕊

In January 2022 I was diagnosed as having 2 metastases in my brain (2.9cm and 2.5cm), along with further tumours in my body arising from ALK positive lung cancer. The only symptoms that I had, which I suspect arose from the brain metastases were a deterioration in my handwriting / use of keyboard / use of mouse and a slight visual distortion in my right eye - the sort of thing you would expect from looking at 2 rows of 3 bright white LED lights for a long time and then looking away - except mine was long lasting. Fortunately I am taking a targeted therapy drug for ALK positive lung cancer, which after about 6 weeks eliminated all of the symptoms (including those mentioned above) and has started to shrink the brain tumours.

2/13/24 called 911 because of possible stroke for 86 yr old mom. In the ED, we learned Mom has stage 4 lung CA metastasized to her throat, brain, adrenal glands (from 2nd hand smoke exposure- she’s never smoked in her life, but Dad did; casino smoke, growing up post WW2, era). On 2/21/24, follow up appointment with her Primary MD said because of her “poor prognosis”, it’s a miracle she left the hospital (on2/17/24) and is able to walk on her own. Hospice care, hospital bed, O2 machine w/back up tank & medical devices in place at her home. People can’t believe she’s up, walking talking and still mostly herself. No need for: cardiac MD to follow her, MRI, surgery, chemotherapy, or finger stick blood sugars to monitor her DM. Radiation for pain relief only, but she denies it. Primary MD said no good time estimate because of the stage & spread of the disease - could be days, months or a year; I’m puzzled. I’ve done all the denials, hysterical crying, etc., but every additional day I have w/her is precious. What should I expect? 🙏🙏🙏 to all who is affected by catastrophic illness.

Similar story here. My mum has cancer in her lung and it spread to her liver and brain. Chemo nearly done without any side effects and now radiation will start. She is getting weak and has trouble remembering and saying things because of the brain metastases but she is quite strong and seems okay. No coughing or anything - you wouldn't believe she has lung cancer.... In the hospital they said she would be coughing blood but she doesn't cough to begin with, especially not blood ... O.o Guess its uncommon for her stage.

My mother underwent radical mastectomy in February. She had taken 4 chemo sessions before surgery and 4 after surgery but lock down came in middle and we had to stop chemo temporarily. But after the lock down ended she totally denied for the chemotherapy. In the starting she had sleeping problems, she couldn't sleep. Then her personality and behaviour totally changed. In her mastectomy report it was stated that, evidence of metastasis in 1/3rd axilla,what did that actually mean??? Does it mean cancer has metastized in brain?? Please explain!!!
@jayalexander90332 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 1/3 axilla means the lymph nodes under I think her armpit not her brain and why the hell would they deny her for the chemotherapy because of lockdown?? They should be sued
