This is so spot on. I walked away from several people, most importantly, my closest friend. She trauma dumped on me several times without asking, and continues to engage in the same toxic relationships and behaviors. Then tells me I’m trying to tell her how to live when I offer advice. And she is never there for me. Only when she has an argument with her SO or is single (for like a week or two). So that’s it. I’m done. She can find someone else to trauma dump on. I’m distancing myself from all the energy vampires. It’s a lonely place to be, however, definitely a safer place to choose myself. New friends and a partner will come.
