Increasing Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates through Community Engagement: Manitoba

In December 2019, the Partnership rolled out the Developing Strategies for Underscreened Populations through Community Engagement Initiative, an equity-driven project focused on providing capacity and support to provincial and territorial partners to identify and reach under-screened populations in colorectal cancer screening. It was launched in five jurisdictions: Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Northwest Territories (NWT).
With support from the Partnership, the partners engaged their communities to co-develop and implement evidence-based approaches for increasing colorectal cancer screening in their respective communities. To share the learnings from the project more broadly, videos from each of the partners were developed, featuring insights that highlight common themes as well as unique perspectives.
