Hi! We did both, more swimming than walking because it was really hot 🥵… it felt better in the water. But if you want to I am sure you can do it walking the whole way. Another way is walking on the sidewalk/street and there is an entrance to the Ziva beach where locals enter to go to the lighthouse and beach.
