2:42:58 Always Keep Firearm Pointed in a Safe direction. Never point your gun at anything you do not intend to shoot. Treat All Guns as Though They are Loaded. Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger until You are Ready to Shoot. Always Be Sure of Your Target and What's Beyond It. *take guns very seriously, and dont do what Laura is doing*

That's some very important info

[SPOILERS] . . This whole episode reminded me so much of the movie Pitch Black -- running away from and fighting an enemy sensitive to light. That chase through the forest... the final fight... all it missed were some iconic lines like "You're not afraid of the dark, are you?" and "We can't leave... until we said good night." 😅

okey so after 2 years i finally caught up campaign 2 + 3 (i still have to watch first one but heh) so i moved on Candela Obscura and well i want to thank you all for the great entertainement you give (and seemingly have) doing all of this, i'm not able to thank you enough (given that i'm kinda broke, only can support by watching), all of you are great actors / players (and GM) and watching/hearing you guyz helps me find sleep (yea kinda weird especially with horror scheme stuff like this serie :p). This new game system is reeaaally nice and the final of this episode was sooo holdbreathing!! i loved it so much! Ok so that was the nice part coz i never commented your videos before this and i had to tell how grateful i am for your work, anyway now comes the annoying nerd's objection: am i just stupid or did Laura took 4 scars and not 3? i mean she used her ability 3 times + have been "faced off" (wow what a cheap pun) ? PS: excuse my english for it isnt my native language.

A note I'm gonna take from this game, is when the previous party dies to the bleed (TPK) the next circle will have to take down the monster for their first mission

Finished all 3 episodes and wow!!I love the cast and characters, Robbie is the goat coming in clutch in the final battle, I just love the dark, and intense serious vibe of candela

A small fact. A number of the test games they played during their development of candela obscura was DMed by Taliesin. Those games where deemed "too scary" from the players. I assume/guess that this is why Tal is not our dm here 😂 I got this info from what i saw ftom their panel on jencon in KZbin.

Damn! I'd absolutely love to see those!

Dang i want them to be scarier tho

The reasoning they gave at the panel had more to do with the mechanics they were using and the types of stories it told, wasn't it?
@lefterismplanas4977 Жыл бұрын
@@wverms I think yes, but it had to do at some degree with Tal. Also, I remember something about a player needing some days to calm down after one session? But I'm not sure. Plus, Taliesin might also have felt reluctant to introduce the world to Candela. But I have no source to support this last one

Perhaps he'll DM the second chapter? 🤔 I want to see it as, unless I'm mistaken, Taliesin has a big part in the creation of the story and lore of Candela. I do like Matt's style but I don't really get a real sense of dread from it.

I just need to show my apprecition for the set design, graphic design, photographers and general AWESOMEsauce that is the production in this series. It all adds HUGELY to making this a wonderful viewing experience. Thank you thank you, thank you! All the small details are noted and appreciated and so so loved.

I’m sure nothing eldritch and incomprehensible will seep out of the hairline fractures in reality today! :]

I feel like everyone missed an opportunity to sneak in a Tusk Love reference when talking to the orchard farmer towards the beginning of this episode 😂

That would’ve be funny, but I appreciated the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew reference

I admit, I chickened out of finishing chapter 1 for a while because I had come to love the characters so much. Having finished now, I am in love with this game and table of players ❤ wonderful show!

When Lycos mentioned Edward it signaled what was coming so you pretty much knew what was coming narratively, but it was still an excellent twist. Would have liked to see more of a focus on the moment, maybe more of a reaction out of Arlo. That aside the episode was very good, if I could hit like more than once I would. Mat seems much more willing to kill off the party in this series, makes for more tension, and a better investment in the characters that you know might not be around for much longer.

In a way the fights in this system seem more risky than DnD. Death is a little less permanent in some regards, but the fact that every action could have actively negative consequences really makes you consider what you're going to do rather than "That action didn't work, but oh well." It's a neat way to approach gameplay. (Said as someone who hasn't been exposed to many different RPG game systems.)

I love the idea of Laura's character being a ditzy, Luna Lovegood-esque Rambo character ending up with all of the guns and explosives hahaha.
