What an inspirational family for the country. They seem to be passionate about making good quality guitars, rather than just increasing revenues through factory style mass production, rare to see in this day and age.

What a great story of family and tradition. I recently bought my first Candelas Guitar (made by Tomas) and I love it.

Barbara, good for you! I haven't been to their shop in 35 years and I'm close to going back to arrange for them to make a guitar for me. I meant to do that many moons again, but things happen. I believe it is Tomas' brother, "Manuel" who moved to Nashville to pursue his passion of being a songwriter. Christian songwriter.

Just happen to notice on the episode of I Love Lucy when Ricky is taking a screen test and Lucy is trying her hardest to have her face appear on the screen test while doing the scene with Ricky that Ricky is playing a guitar with a visible and legible Candelas label inside the guitar. I immediately thought I'd this episode of Visiting. I wonder if the Candelas bros and their dad knew this?

My favorite episode of Huell's. I'm a little bias because I'm a guitar player, but separate and apart from that, I love the whole story of the Delgado family/familia and their history of making guitars. Also, does anyone out there in Comment Land know how I can access --- "PART TWO" of this story Huell did with the Delgado family?? Huell did a Part 2, but I can't find it. Thanks!!

If he did make a second one, it wasn't added to his archive. You can try and go through the episode list to find, some the tapes were too badly damaged and couldn't be posted.
