Thanks so much for all the content, and a special thanks for the snip at the end! I found your accent tutorials by chance, and kept getting pulled in with “oh, yeah, that one sounds fun!” And it just so happens that I do have a preschooler, and now he and I both love G’Day Let’s Play lol. So, thanks!

Awesome! I realized that the word 'score' sounds weird when using the aw sound at the end. Please let me know if the aw combo applies to the pronunciation of the word 'score'. P.S. You really have helped me out big time. Thanks so much!
@candicemoll83864 жыл бұрын
Bell Catch hi! You are correct, the word ‘score’ uses the ‘aw’ sound. You don’t pronounce the R at all, so the word sounds like ‘skaw’.

I don't know much about the IELTS but I've had a few people ask for a video specific to the study needed for this test. Now that you have taken the test, do you think there is a section that would be helpful if I made a video?
@jays31764 жыл бұрын
@@candicemoll8386 I think most of the non-native speakers are struggling with the speaking test. When I was talking to my Aussie friends, I am confused whether my grammer, intonation or use of words are authentic or not as they are always nice and they don't correct me.
Wow I loved the tips!! You got a new sub :) I'll do an exchange to Australia soon so I'm very very very grateful for your videos!!

@candicemoll83863 жыл бұрын
Ah I know this dilema well! It's very simple. Listen to Aussie radio/podcasts, watch Aussie TV, and really try to pay attention to the differences between the accents. If you can hear it in someone else, you can notice when you're making changes. Good luck!

For me, the way you Australians don't pronounce the R sound it sounds too beautiful to me because I hate pronounce these R's everytime I don't know how Americans do this all the time, my tongue tenses very much when I speak these R's all the time
@YourMajesty1433 жыл бұрын
I love the sound of R, especially when they're rolled in Spanish or Italian. Btw New Yorkers, Bostonians, and much of the East Coast (and part of the Midwest) drop the R. America is a big country with tons of dialects. Try not to stereotype.
