Thanks for the like. I’ve actually played this a few times on a couple different devices. I remember in the past, when I played on my IPad, I could barely get to the Necro Witch, but now on my phone I’m regularly reaching Phantom Worm. Part of it is probably that I quickly snapped up the Rally Charm, which is super OP, and frequently use the also-OP Undead Curse, but I’ve been able to get farther than before even before needing to resurrect. Not sure, really.

(Pardon the length; I have a lot to talk about.) Oof; just did my first run starting in Curse Crusher (without any candies and such from a run through the normal game), and blew both of my resurrections on Ghost Baron, dying quickly after on the second floor. I think I may have to change things up with my charms; I’ve basically been running the entire game on Devour / Rally, since they give some crazy extra health, and none of the other charms seem to really be able to match straight up extra health. However, a charm like Devour only really works when you’re already able to get a while into a game, since it gives you some soul hearts at the end of each floor. The new Peppermint of Souls charm we get for finishing the first play through is pretty crazy (beat Ghost Baron twice, and it already gives 16 hearts and 12 soul hearts, and it will only get better over time); that might be better. Also, on a related note, when can I get an increase to my maximum Charm Points? They were bumped up from 7 to 8 at some point, and even one more would let me equip Rally, Souls, and Beauty, which sounds like a kick@$$ loadout. And giving us only 8 Charm points when we have up to 4 charm slots to put on our weapons sounds off. So what do you think I should do? Dive into Curse Crusher with Rally/Souls, or grind the base game with my usual loadout until I can get more charm points? Also, what’s your favorite weapon type? Mine is the Blade by far. It let you attack up and down as well as forwards (great for bosses like Phantom Worm), and the disadvantages aren’t that big; the missing charm slot on the Busterblade 9000 doesn’t matter since I don’t have many charms I want to equip or the charm points to do so, the chain gauge draining faster doesn’t matter since I can almost never fill it up anyways, and although needing to swipe constantly to keep attacking can be a pain, especially on bosses like Ghost King, it’s hardly a dealbreaker. The basic flashlights are meh, but then the lanterns are awful. Maybe they just put me off by having an especially bad show against Ghost King, but they do leave your front unprotected a lot of the time, which makes it a huge pain in the @$$ to actually attack anything, since you can’t consistently attack in any direction.

Just did my first wins against Jack and the Phantom King in one run (Phantom King was super easy; a lot of his attacks were easy to dodge, especially the one where the room turns dark and he throws green eyes at you, and I had the Servant Curse, so Bunber kept dropping hearts); about to try Curse Crusher. Ghost Baron down. That was crazy, and I could hardly follow some attacks, but every attack only did 2 damage out of the 68 or so health I had, so I could just clean up the ghosts while watching for the one with the crown and picking up Bunber hearts. I have blown through both of my resurrections by the time I beat Jack, let’s see how far I can get with the one life I have left.

Died in the Ember Cellar; I was pretty much taking hits nonstop from all the crazy projectiles plus the nasty lag on my phone. Still, I advanced 3 bosses in one run. And only got 1000 souls for some confounded reason. :-( We’ll see when I can get to the next boss. Still, I blew through over 60 health there, which is my usual max at 24 health and 2 resurrections (Rally Charm and advertisement). Wish me luck.

@@TDKaiser If I can figure out how to get a fresh start; I tried to delete the game’s data and reinstall, delete my Google Play Games info, and even signed in with a different Google Account, but it still seems to remember the souls and such I collected. And I definitely did not sign up for a Takoboy account. >:-C Not sure how I get rid of that.
