Thank you for this great video, I’ve just tried it on two different candles and my understanding is that the candle needs to melt until tissue paper is absorbed into it. That smudges the area around the design and parts of the candle can come off (I’ve done this for 1-2 minutes). Am I right or it doesn’t need to melt and as long as it sticks to it it’s fine and then I can use the glue to stick it to the candle?

The first reason is because there is sacred Islamic text written on the candle. Also, the candle contains tissue paper which is flammable and can be dangerous.
