It's that time of the year, where double flush pines get their haircut. Explaination and a story come with. Thank you for your time!

Hi my friend,i appreciated so much your technique of cutting new shoots on your japanese black pines and i must say they have excellent potential. In a few years i'm sure they will become excellent bonsai to be exhibited at some exhibition. Very compliments!👏👏👏

Thank you for your beautiful videos as always 🥂 I was curious about the vigor of the second pine tree 🤔 You can adjust the vigor of the tree by the length you leave with "MEKIRI", but I think it would be difficult if there is such a difference between the top and bottom 🙀 Before the leaves unfold, I think it would be easier to break off all the candles about 4 leaves from the bottom, or adjust the number of leaves from last year (pairs or % bottom → top 7 → 5 → 3...

So amazing to see the intensity of light in Greece and its effect on the growth of your attractive Japanese black pines. = Greece like Japan? Thanks to show your work on the trees in your paradise: only with forest sounds and no music! Congratulations.

Thank you Rico! Nice approach, yes the light intensity is quite high here (plus the elevation) and that has a strong effect on pines! No, we are not like Japan. June in Japan is rainy season, here is relatively dry and hot. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your pruning technique for pines....I've tended to keep away from them as I find the information I've read and videos seen to be a little confusing and sometimes contradictory but you've made it simple and easy to follow. I also enjoy the bird song you have in the background :)

Thank you Robbo for the kind words! Yes, a correct needle plucking in autumn, makes all other work on pines simple and fast. No complicated techniques or timing and thus double flush pines can be fun! Cheers!

@trybonsai that is most surprising! Since I can't have tropicals, I avoid getting info on them, but if you post about a black pine in Trinidad, now that is going to be very interesting!!
