The Traditional Story of Christmas in Song and Narration as Presented at Epcot:
One of the most beloved traditions is the Candlelight Processional. This joyous re-telling of the Christmas story by celebrity narrator Robby Benson features the Voices of Liberty, a glorious choir and a fifty-piece orchestra conducted by Derric Johnson in a breathtaking musical performance.
Nearly 400 performers fill the stage to create this mainstay of Disney's holiday festivities. The orchestra consists of 51 professional musicians from the central Florida area. The choir is comprised of Walt Disney World cast member volunteers, along with high school and community groups from twenty states and the United Kingdom. The singers in red and black (the base of the 'tree') are the nationally acclaimed Voices of Liberty a cappella ensemble, a part of the Epcot family since Opening Day in 1982.
