Really cool ranking! It's interesting to see someone break from the mold a bit even if I might disagree with some choices! Candlemass is my favourite band, but I find it very hard to rank in this fashion, Lowe and Messiah are both amazing and different enough that sometimes I really want to listen to one or the other, I know most Candlemass fans prefer Messiah including some purists who dislike Lowe, so I am happy to see you agree he absolutely competes with Messiah. Because of that I always think of it in my head as best Lowe album, best Messiah album, and then Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. That aside though, I liked Ancient Dreams and Death Magic Doom the best so I suppose when it comes to the details we have different tastes!

Been listening to these guys since day one, grew up in the same shitty stockholm suburb of Väsby as them. back then 84-86 (as both Nemesis and Candlemass) most people were in to hair metal or Speed/thrash were we grew up, so they were looked upon with some sceptisism. history proved they were on the right track though. fucking legends thanks for the video buddy, not agreeing on some picks, but then again i might be the one being off right? (spot on with the top 3 picks) thanks!

1. Epicus 2. Nightfall 3. Tales... and the rest of your picks are almost identical as mine. Agree on Ancient Dreams. Great songs in itself, but flat production killed it, even Leif admitted he wasn't really satisfied with the mix of that record. "Incarnation of Evil" is the worst track there, but it's actually a remake of a Nemesis song (Leif's band before Candlemass). That original version with Leif on vocals is much, much better. Song had that raw, gritty sound and evil Venom-like vibe that was missing in Messiah's version. Check out Nemesis and Day Of Retribution EP, if you haven't already. Also agree about Rob Lowe. Top calibre singer, on the level of Dio, Halford and Dickinson. All 6 Solitude Aeturnus albums are excellent, as well as Candlemass and Last Chapter stuff he sang on. Disagree only on 13th Sun, Chapter VI and White Album, these go higher with me and leave The Door To Doom as the lowest. Even that is not a bad album at all, just feels too standard for me.
