Wow this takes me back to when I attempted to make/sell jewelry on Etsy in my 20s! Unfortunately I didn't have the motivation (or the money) to keep it up for very long hehehe 😅

am curious, if i may ask, why was the money an aspect?! because of needing to purchase material? i am ever so slightly curious about dabbling into it as ive made all the jewlery for myself that i can lol and i have so much left over beads and i like to do things with my hands to relax, but i never considered the money aspect of it outside of shipping costs? or etsy taking a cut? would love to hear from you! thanks for your time.

@@peachykeen799 It's just like any other business really. It costs money to operate, and to start! In this case it was things like tools/supplies, which for jewelry can get expensive especially depending on the materials you're working with. Packaging/Shipping supplies and shipping is costly too, but you can opt to charge for shipping to offset that. There's also marketing, which is important if you actually want to sell anything! You also have to factor in your time, which I didn't have a lot of, since I needed to earn money elsewhere since my "business" wasn't 😅
