I remember when this movie was filmed in January 2024 in my hometown, Manotick Ontario. It was filmed in Manotick Place Retirement Home, when my mom was alive and living there (my kids also work there still), also in 692 coffee shop, our Independent Grocery store, Black Dog restaurant, our Vet clinic, one of our flower shops and many great views from our little Main St! It was fun to watch this cute Christmas movie!!

I was supposed to get married straight out of high school - no we didn't go to school together- and got cold feet. 20 years later, divorced, with 2 teenage boys; I found him on Facebook, randomly. We started texting and dating long distance. We BOTH HAD bad marriages, and we decided to give it a try and we are happily married 8 yrs now. Never to take each other for granted again. No drama and real love. 😂 I know it sounds like a movie plot, but I've never been happier or more well taken care of or spoiled. I never had a REAL MAN in my life besides my father, but now? Now I know what one looks like. And I will never be afraid of our future again. No matter how good or bad it gets we are REAL partners in life and all we do.❤❤❤ I'll pray you find yours.

Your story is so close to my own. I dated a guy in jr high, high school and two years after that. We had plans to marry but ended up breaking up. I married for 32 years and he married for 34. His niece found me on Facebook, even though she was not sure it was me because of the last name change) but anyways...turns out I was divorced and so was he. We lived in different states and did the phone thing and then I ended up moving to his state to give us a try....we married 2 years ago and have been together for 8. (42 years separated us, but fate brought us back together) Thanks for sharing your story and good luck!

OMG... EXACTLYYYY!! Instead of confirming to Eric directly, she just jump into conclusion like that...🤦‍♀ And full on ghosting mode on him.. Why she didn't just have heart to heart communication with Eric and truly ask clearly so she can know whatvs that really about.. And of course Eric didn't tell her, yet.. They were just start over, and in the very beginning of their relationship..(it was just the previous night, though🤦‍♀🤦‍♀ Of course he hasn't brought up about the details of his ex..!!!🤦‍♀🤦‍♀🤦‍♀ If she keeps doing that, their reltionship will be full of misunderstanding & insecurities...

Instead of naming this movie Candy Cane Christmas, it should be called Matchmaking Christmas. All the people in these two lead characters' lives are constantly trying to set them up. That's the story line instead of a yearly Christmas lights display.

I honestly wish that I hadn’t watched twinkle all the way before I watched this because he’s gay in that movie so this one just doesn’t seem real now. Don’t get me wrong he’s a great actor but now I just see him as gay. I wish they would’ve picked a different actor in twinkle all the way. I love that movie though. And there’s too much assuming in this movie and should’ve had more of Candy cane lane. I did enjoy it though I’ve seen way worse.
