as a fellow candy girl, i know EXACTLY what Becky is talking about when she says a gummy is "fresh". its not necessarily about how *fresh* it is, because obviously when a product reaches the shelf it is already weeks or months old. its mostly about how soft the gummy is when you chew it. sometimes, you get a gummy thats even softer than you expected it to be and it has a really nice chewing texture. its softer than your standard for gummy candy, and its surprising. the flavor is immaculate. but sometimes you get a bag thats been on that specific shelf for probably 6 months and the gummy has a super different feel when you chew it, its like since the gelatin is older it breaks up differently in your mouth. it tastes more medicine like than sweet like a gummy. Becky absolutely definitely knows her shit when it comes to candy and i respect it, Keith simply doesnt get it lol
