About the fish that didn't take the licorice swirl covering the last jelly, even if it took the licorice, the jelly would remain because that's how it works when licorice is taken from a square with a jelly.

I don't look at these without a time stamp. But I do know that the fish only remove one layer. Although I often get upset at the fish, in general, for being so stupid.

Even though this level now requires that I take out 114 jellies with 8 turns instead of 57, this video seemed to include a couple of great hints that would give me a fighting chance. I had played 8 or 9 turns after watching the video and came close to winning twice. Then the board stopped giving me striped/wrapped combos in the center column entirely and only gives me a very few stripe/stripe combos per life. I'm now 20 turns later and the bombs blow up every time because I can't clear enough bobbers to set off the swarms of fish. I think this may be the end for me. Without those combos I can't see any way to get past this one.

Now instead of ticking time bombs they are some sort of ice bombs. I’ve never seen them before. The good part is you can still play when they explode but adds a layer of ice!!

WHAT THE HELL? REALLY KING? 8 MOVES? I am on 3164 right now and I thought I should watch Suzy to make sure what the best move to beat it is. And I see 8 moves, 8 MOVES TO CLEAR 57 JELLY. I guess I know one level to invest all of my boosters now. Hopefully I beat it first try but with a win streak of 1 that sounds kinda hard. This is one of the levels that would be a struggle like 3151, taking me 22 tries. I wish I had a win streak of 3 at least, those 3 more moves would mean a lot

After many many attempts, I finally came close. Had only 2 more jelly left. Sent 2 fish on the last move. Those fishes took out bombs which still had timer 3, instead of taking out jelly. Aaarrrgghhh!

Also, the licorice isn't behaving the usual way for me in this level. I mean, I take out licorice in one move manually, and when I combine striped+wrapped combo in next move, huge amount of licorice are still falling down.

Believe me, I can empathize with your frustration... Regarding the fish, yes, they have been programmed to respond differently over the years. I agree it is frustrating when they go for time bombs that are no threat...but that's what they do these days. Regarding licorice, the concept is a lot like chocolate...you take one out no new stuff forms, but you leave it alone and new stuff drops. But I have noticed the same situation you're talking about. There are nuances to each level. Sometimes there's a one- or two-turn delay. Sometimes you get just one in a drop, and sometimes it's a whole stream. And sometimes using a ranged attack or a cascade is enough...but sometimes if you don't remove the licorice directly by having the candy you remove touch a licorice, it just doesn't count. Now you know the way this is set up, hopefully you'll be able to overcome those problems.

It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that King sets the board so it’s impossible to win whatever strategy or skill you apply so you will fail. Many boards simply don’t provide any opportunity to win and this gets repeated (presumably to get you to pay for boosters) and then after numerous tries sometimes too many to count plus a good deal of patience you suddenly get a board that almost gifts you the win. Candies fall into place, the win is easy, too easy in fact. Ive also noticed when this happens you don’t get to see how those candies suddenly become winners because everything happens so fast. It’s a relief when that happens but for me this becomes less about skill and more bout how far King pushes you to spend money. In the end they have to create the winning board as too many would give up. Maybe this isn’t a revelation but I increasingly question my addiction to this game and perhaps it beginning to lose its appeal as I feel I’m being played.

I don't disagree with the things you've said. And I empathize with your feelings; I've quit this game a few times, myself. ;) I would like to present a couple different perspectives from my experiences. 1. I used to think there were some levels that were pure luck. Especially the first time I played through the levels. Then when I restarted the game to record, I found I was luckier than usual. And when I restarted again, after they changed the platform, I was even luckier. So now I cannot discount the factors of experience and skill as much as I used to. Oh...and I can take a lucky board and ruin it by playing poorly...so I agree that some levels cannot be won without luck, but I now feel the trick is to capitalize on that luck when it shows up. 2. There has to be a reason to play. Either it's fun. Or you want it for the challenge to keep your brain sharp. Or it's teaching you patience. (That's me, these days!) If it's not giving you what you want and need and you can't find a new reason to play, then I actually think you are wise to back off. Here's to hoping you find reasons, because I appreciate your insightful commentary and wouldn't mind seeing you pop up again in the comments! :) 🍀

I play on my Android and the center aisle does not spit out simply wrapped and striped candies. It actually filled with all candies including ticking time bombs 🤷 I used your method and still had to use a booster but I got it done 😎

Now “upgraded” to 8 moves and 118 jelly. CCS has really underestimated how smart people actually are and we must be moving faster than they anticipated. They've programmed the fish to attack the time bombs at a higher priority than attacking jelly...even if the time bombs aren't a danger. And they've been messing around with the UFOs, too...making them as stupid as the fish.

Very frustrating. I keep getting down to 1 jelly, and the fish eat the bombs instead of the last jelly, every time. Ugh!! Used my 20 lives and still stuck!! Have to wait til they regenerate, and maybe swap to my tablet. Starting on left side when middle doesn't play seems to generate more striped wrapped. When I played the right side, no special candies generated for several turns.

🤯 What a rip-off!! The dispenser doesn't drop down a striped wrapped combo. If it drops 2 wraps or 2 stripes it's every three turns, by then the bombs have exploded. I will on this one for a long, long time. (I have even tried using boosters....no luck) 😭😭😭

I disagree. I mean, I do understand your perspective. And there are some levels that become unbeatable after a certain point...like if you need 7 moves to let an ingredient ride the conveyor belt and you only have 6 moves...but I've come to believe that the more I play a board, win or lose, the more experience I gain that will help me understand that board and all the others.
