I think the problem started with an uneven/unsteady floor. A few years ago I had a floorboard just like yours in my washer room; after a few months my washing machine (not a Candy) was totally out of balance and making a terrible noise. Moral of the story: always put a washing machine on a steady, hard surface.

I can do this with my AEG aswell.. I think this is caused by the triangular shaped end of door's hook, which can slide Into the rest of the space, and then it locks itself with its flat surface, additionally pressing the lock in the opposite direction to its opening (Sorry for bad English)
