In this video it is possible to see an overview of the Candy Stipomatic 10/5 version 01 dishwasher from 1970. Candy started the production of dishwashers only in 1966 with the Stipomatic model and a more compact machine suitable for built-in in modular kitchens, the L5 model. The initial Stipomatic model, after being subjected to 6 restyling, was no longer suitable for the new market needs so Candy decided to focus on a new model instead of carrying out yet another restyling of the old machine, the result was the Stipomatic 10/5 which maintained a series of highly appreciated characteristics of the old model and introduced a whole series of innovations which made it more versatile and efficient. Together with the Stipomatic 10/5, a new machine was produced to replace the old L5, which followed the concepts of the 10/5 but in the standard built-in format, the Candy 8/4 Brava. This one was the first LS6 type dishwasher which remained the base chassis on which all Candy dishwasher models were built until the introduction of the C/Format series in 1978 with the Candy D290 Silent model and its twin Lady K14 branded Kelvinator. The 10/5 was so called due to the introduction of the half load button which made it possible to save water and electricity for loads reduced to 5 place settings; It should be considered that, at the time, the number of place settings of Italian dishwashers was calculated including the pots and pans necessary for the preparation of meals, for this reason the lower rack was exclusively dedicated to containing pots and pans. The double loading door was maintained, which will remain an almost exclusive feature of Candy dishwashers until 1977 with the production of the last dishwasher with this feature, the Candy D190 Silent. The entire water filtering system was maintained but the hydraulic system was simplified, the 10/5 still did not have an automatic rinse aid dispenser and continued to use non-decalcified water for the pre-wash and the intermediate rinsing stages reserving the use of purified water only for the main wash and for the final rinse. A unique feature was the lever key command for the manual advancement of the programmer. The mechanism was very complex to calibrate and literally enraged the Candy technicians who, not having the calibration templates used in the factory, struggled a lot to perfect it. The 10/5 continued to be a non-standard machine, 70cm wide and 60cm deep with a height of 110cm, it did not easily adapt to the modular kitchens of the time but guaranteed immense load capacities compared to standard size machines. The washing pump, driven by a powerful 0.5hp motor, was able to deliver a huge flow of high pressure water that flowed from large rotating arms ensuring excellent washing results. The washing chamber of the first series was still coated white Rilsan which was abbandoned in the following series with the introduction of the Stipomatic 10/5 stainless steel in 1972. As with the old Stipomatic and unlike all the other manufacturers, the cutlery was placed in the upper basket and the 4 cycles of the Stipomatic did not include a soaking program which was introduced only in the latest machines built. The one-cycle controller sequentially ran programs, the complete cycle consisted of program 1, which began with a short cold pre-wash followed by program 2, a wash at 70°C and a cool-down rinse at multiple oscillating levels, followed by program 3 which performed two complete cold rinses and a final rinse with purified hot water to facilitate drying without leaving stains on the glassware and finally program 4 performed the drying or plate warming function by activating the air heater at the bottom of the tub. During cycle 4 the regeneration of the decalcifier was also carried out, the single dose of salt for the operation of which had to be added at each wash. This remained common practice for all Candy until the arrival of the D290 model which had an automatic salt dispenser. The 10/5 was a robust and heavy machine, made to withstand intensive use so much so that, like the old Stipomatic model, it was used in the kitchens of small restaurants and clubs instead of more expensive professional machines. The production of the 10/5 ended by 1975 when it was replaced by the new Candy Stipomatic3 (also available in the Dora series version named D390 Silent) which, despite the smaller dimensions in width, was equipped with three racks which guaranteed a load capacity of 20 place settings doubling the load capacity of the 10/5. Anyone who has had a Candy Stipomatic 10/5 in their kitchen will never forget the classic sound of the high-pressure water jets inside it during operation and the roar of the powerful drive pump during the cool-down rinsing phases. Thanks also to the powerful detergents of the time, there were no encrusted trays or pans that were not washed and polished by the Stipomatic... a true marvel of technology that made you say... Bella e tenuta benissimo . La potente candy potente perché mi ribltava le pentole leggere . Ma il lavaggio era assicurato perfetto. Peccato averla buttata aveva il fondo corrono. Dai carissimo mi aspetto un lavaggio. Sempre tanti complimenti per i video bellissimi e graditi . Ciao

Stupenda macchina, entra quasi il doppio della roba di un lavastoviglie di oggi e vengono più puliti, in circa 1 ora e mezza! La mia occupa il posto accanto al lavandino, anche se la uso di rado.

Per prima cosa le faccio notare che con la sua affermazione ha appena offeso gli oltre 500 MILIONI di persone madrelingua inglese che vivono sul nostro pianeta!!! Non mi pare una bella cosa! Detto ciò la rendo edotto del fatto che io non sono di madrelingua Italiana!... Che gusto avrei nello scrivere in Italiano con la fatica che mi toccherebbe fare ogni volta!? Tengo inoltre a precisare che il mio canale è rivolto ad un pubblico internazionale, non è un canale dedicato ai soli Italiani, pertanto l'inglese è d'obbligo!
