This video brought a smile to my face. I lived in Yufuin for 7 years. I was the English teacher at the Junior High School. It is a slice of Heaven. The man who gives horseback tours of Yufuin with white horses and a carriage is Hironubu-san. He is super nice. Also, Barjunne is an AMAZING restaurant based on Italian and Spanish Cuisine. The owner Etou Jun-san is my friend. He is an amazing person and he cooks all of his food with love. Shimo-yu, the onsen you first featured is one of the last surviving mixed bathing onsens in all of Japan. A part of my soul will always live in Yufuin.

Aweeee I can sense the nostalgia in your comment! Coincidentally, this is my 7th year in Japan. I hope you can visit Japan and Yufuin again to relive those wonderful memories :D

The last time my team and I visited Yufuin was last year when that BIG Typhoon hit and it ruined our filming plans! Thank you for sharing your insight in Yufuin. We're planning to go there again to shoot in Autumn this year BEFORE inbound travel resumes so we're always on the look out for good content and places we haven't yet visited. You're amazing!

Thankyou for your comprehensive insight into Yufuin. It has helped me decide not to stop there! Apart from the lovely onsens, the town itself just looks full of tacky tourist tat, which surprised me because everything I've read implies it touts itself as more upmarket than Beppu. Your video has been really useful! Very excited to spend time in Kyushu. If allowed in!

Thanks for your video. Is it doable to visit both Yufuin Floral Village & Jigoku Meguri in just 1 Day trip from Fukuoka (Hakata Station)? We’ll be taking the 1st train from Fukuoka (Yufu 1) to Yfufuin Floral Village arriving at Yufuin Station @ 10:05am and spend 2-1/2 hour at Yufuin Floral Village. Then we’ll hop on to Yufuin No Mori to Jigoku Miguri @ 12:29pm arriving there @ around 2pm (train & bus). So we have 2- 3 hours left to tour Jigoku Meguri as it closes at 5pm. Is 2-3 hours for each place enough time? Or would you advise to allocate 1 day for each? Thanks

Hii hope you notice me, my sister's dream is to work and live in Japan. She is a 4 year English major college graduate and a licensed teacher. I'm helping her to achieve her dreams. Maybe you can help me how to apply as a teacher in Japan. Thank you so much!
