Candyman's Filming Location - Cabrini Green Row House Chicago IL - Relaxing Drone History

The Cabrini Rowhouses were built in the early 1940's and are the only remaining parcels of the original 3,607 unit Cabrini-Green development.

I remember going into Cabrini so many times when the high rises still existed building 714 on division and halsted. Videos of these housing projects when they all existed across the city does them no justice, if you were not from there pulling into those high rise parking lots felt like an entire different world. You couldn’t drive fast through them because potholes were big and every where especially Robert Taylor homes when driving down Federal you could break a tire rod.

Row houses are Erie but nothing can trump the old sky rises that were used in the Orginal candyman.

Dang seems like the city has so much potential with these sites to refurb and help people out... but I guess money is the issue?

Yeah, I'm assuming. Most of the areas I was flying over are gated off and don't have any tenants. There is only one street that is still active, so 90% of it is left to rot.
