This is basically just djent, mixed with like Marilyn Manson, nothing really slipknot

@spencercowan88629 жыл бұрын
Okay. So. While the songs may have multiple non-specific storylines (they're not even necessarily storylines but I'm picking them up the more I listen to them) that aren't even connected, I feel like the whole EP, if the band so desired, could be about a dude who's really fucked in the head and had a bad past (Sunday School), goes about his life with his mental and psychological issues (Time Bomb), then gets into some underground stuff (OxBlood), and then one day at work meets this chick who he begins to become attracted to and begins to stalk her (Gemini). He at first thinks she's frightened by what stalking she's seen, but in reality she likes it and hints at it to the main character. They get to know each other in this fucked up, Sweeney Todd kinda way and get into shit like drug use and all that (maybe "blood" referenced in "OxBlood" could be a fictitious drug and it's the number one illicit drug in this universe?). So, eventually, the girl begins to come to her senses (1/2)
@spencercowan88629 жыл бұрын
and realizes she doesn't like the way her life is. But, the main character is still a-okay with the lifestyle and everything so continues to press the lifestyle and drugs and such on the girl when the girl doesn't want any anymore (Screwtape). The main character realizes he's gonna have to get clever to get the "blood" into her system so what happens next? He invites her to his place, which is normally a shithole but he manages to tidy up a bit for the girl, for drinks. He makes them both French 75 cocktails, and, as the line says in the song, he spikes her drink with the "blood" but doesn't tell her. Seeing as how blood is a drug whose high can last at varying timeframes, he doesn't even know she's still high off blood and close to overdosing. She drinks the cocktail, and a few minutes after, she begins to go in a coma which would shortly lead to her death. Little did he know, before she came to his place, she hired at hit man to kill the main character because of (2/3)
@spencercowan88629 жыл бұрын
the main character's volatile and forceful and dangerous personalities and tendencies. So, he drives out to the middle of nowhere, buries the girl under only a few feet of dirt out of panic, and begins to race home in his '91 Caddy with only one functioning headlight (The Fat Of The Land). He stops by the side of the road to help an old man out who is actually the hitman. Once the main character is distracted enough and his back is turned, the hitman kills the main character, drives back to where the girl was buried, and buries him with the girl. (3/3)
