Two different body types. Canelo started at 14 and was 140 as a 14 year old kid. Crawford started at 130 and didn’t leave 135 until he was 27 years old. I know a guy that sparred with Canelo regularly and Canelo walked around at 205 at the time when not training. He outweighed Khan 187 to 159 when he rehydrated from a 155 cathweight at Middleweight. It’s not a stretch that Canelo comes into the ring on fight night over 190. That being said, the weight is too far. This is like asking a prime Tommy Hearns to go up and fight Evander Holyfield at Cruiserweight. It doesn’t make sense. I have said this from the beginning. Why don’t we just petition for Lomachenko vs Crawford, Benavidez vs Usyk at heavyweight while we’re at it. There are only a few fights that makes since for Canelo. David Benavidez and David Morrell were his mandatories at the time and he would have gotten huge money to fight Benavidez. He has a loss to avenge and that fight makes sense. Why not take on young lions in your division that are at the top of his division?? It’s not like the man is near 40 years old. The man is barely on the downside on his career now.

@@earvinwilliams8140 Crawford shouldn't have too many problems with Canelo's weight, James Toney was originally a 168 super middle weight champion who started from that weight class and jumped all the way to heavy weight and went on to fight Evander Holyfield and he was surprisingly able to knock out Evander Holyfield and Evander Holyfield was considered and recognized to have one of the hardest chins in heavyweight boxing history This is proven by the fact that Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, And George Foreman couldn't even budge and rock Evander Holyfield once with their best punches that they landed flush and clean on Evander Holyfields chin, And Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, And George Foreman are considered to be among the HARDEST punchers ever in heavy weight boxing history and again even THEIR punches wasn't fazing Evander Holyfield at all But somehow James Toney a super middle weight who jumped to Heavy weight somehow knocked out a guy (Evander Holyfield) of which the hardest hitting natural Heavy weights (Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, George Foreman) couldn't do? 🤔 So why can't Crawfords power can increase as he goes up in weight as well? 🤔 Because Errol Spence naturally has a way bigger frame than Crawford but Crawford still had way more punching power than him? 🤔 Israil Madrimov naturally has a way bigger frame than Crawford but Crawford still has way more punching power than him? 🤔 Only reason Crawford couldn't knock out Israil Madrimov was because Israil Madrimov is a slick boxer and slick boxers are always hard to hit no matter how much punching power you have 🤷‍♂ But when Crawford did land his shots on Madrimov, Madrimov got rocked every time and was in trouble And Israil Madrimov is actually a natural 175 pounder with a frame that's bigger than EVEN CANELO'S! And again Crawford was able to rock Madrimov with his punchers so I strongley feel Crawford can hurt Canelo with one of his punches since again Canelo is smaller than Madrimov Some peoples power gets better as they go up in weight 🤷‍♂ Claressa Shields is another example, How she moved up to heavy weight she was able to knock out Vanessa lepage joanisse 🤷‍♂ Claressa Shields in the lower weight classes 154-168 was known as one of the softest pillow fist punchers in Womens boxing history and now she moved up to heavy weight she all of a sudden has knockout power? Again Some boxers power gets better as they go up in weight 🤷‍♂ So if you think that just because Crawford has a small frame means he can't hit hard? 🤔 Well again he was able to knockout Errol Spence who again has a MUCH bigger frame than Crawford and was considered to have one of the hardest chins at 147 division 🤷‍♂ And again Crawford was able to hurt Madrimov badly with his punches despite Madrimov ALSO have a MUCH bigger frame than Crawford 🤷‍♂ Which shows that Crawford is a extremely strong puncher pound for pound! 💪 So I expect him to do VERY well VS Canelo if they were to ever do fight! 💪😁

Also, Toney and Holyfield had years and years of adding bulk and muscle and a little HGH helped if we’re honest. Crawford has sufficient power at 154. It’s not the fact that he didn’t knock out Madrimov. I get your point because I see it similarly. Madrimov is slick and he held every time Crawford really laid it on him. He didn’t want to open up or let Crawford stay on the inside. The real issue for Crawford is moving up and adding bulk in a short time will affect his stamina, it’ll slow him down and he doesn’t have 168 power. He wouldn’t be able to keep the smallest 168 pounder honest. He hasn’t grown into the 154 pound weight class really. Jumping up multiple weight classes without testing yourself is crazy. I’ll just use this example. Mikey Garcia went up one weight class to fight Spence. Had Garcia and Spence been in the same weight class naturally, it would have been a very competitive fight that could’ve gone either way. We saw how Garcia looked the first time at 147. He wasn’t at his best. He needed to adjust and that was the wrong fight to take for his first fight at the weight class. Now if Canelo was fighting at 160 and they met at a catchweight of 158 it’ll be different. As if I can’t think of any 154 pounder that’s smaller than Crawford. I think that’s his max. There are weight classes for a reason. It’s the reason why Floyd never stayed at JM or went up to MW. These are mere fantasy matches. This is the equivalent of Bam Bam Rodriguez fighting Tank.
