Hurricanes fan here!! I'm so glad we're heading back to the Conference Finals. I got to give it to you Devils, y'all had a great season, and y'all have a bright future ahead. Maybe we'll see y'all again in the playoffs next year and battle it out just like old times. Honestly, I thought the Devils would give us more of a fight considering how great they've looked this season, but I guess not, and that's okay. Just make sure you keep guys like Meier, Hughes, and Severson around for as long as you can (especially Jack Hughes. I know he's been with y'all for a bit, but that guy is an absolute treasure). See you next year Devils, but until then, go Canes baby!!

This was perfect for Carolina. I think very few predicted them to get this far in the playoff series and they thrived off of being under the radar. But now they're getting more noticed, and the question is if they can build further upon their convincing wins, because the other teams still in it, they're no slouches either.

New Jersey's Siegenthaler will be blaming himself for a long time for his delay of game penalty that led to the winning power play goal.

Maybe they should consider something other than a 2 minute penalty for 'delay of game'. Maybe an o-zone draw that the offending team can't try and win, so it becomes automatic possession in the offensive zone? I just think that since delay of game is the least bad offense a player can do, and it's also the one penalty that always gets called and never gets missed, they should do something to balance it out a bit. But at any rate, congrats, Canes!

He's not the guy who let in a million goals on soft shots all series. The only ones to blame for the NJ series loss are the goalies. Vanecek was putrid and Schmid was average.

Ik people may think I am trashing New Jersey (Rangers fan here), but this ain't the case. I have to give them a lot of credit for leaving it all out there on the ice tonight. Very unfortunate how their season ended like this (I am very familiar with this feeling of watching your team lose a playoff OT game). But they have one bright future of what they accomplished this year. Wouldn't surprise me if they get back to the 2nd round of the playoffs next year depending how their season in 2023-24 unfolds.

No in all fairness I get they dont want to be the reason a team goes home but cN they please just call it as it is. If they're guilty they're guilty. 8 more to the cup. 4 more to the final

They swallowed their whistles all game. You cannot complain about the refs calling a penalty that is as obvious as it gets. It's like complaining that your team was penalized for jumping way offsides and giving your opponent the first down and the win. You did it to yourself and forced the refs to make a *required* call.
