The thing about him is there were several lyricists of the same caliber at the time, Big L, Pun, Nas... But with Canibus it was like the waters parted, almost every guest appearance he had, he had like twice the bars, went first or last. No one gave that type of verse length to anyone else. He was a show. Then on mixtapes he was getting long verses over the illest beats and eventually 100 bars plus. It was crazy. A lot of GOAT status is about moments in time, and how you saw others treat them at the time, and this qualifies. Similar to Live at the BBQ w/ Nas, Deep Cover w/ Snoop, Control w/ Kendrick, Life's a Bitch w/ AZ, Money/Power/Respect w DMX, etc. ... but Bis had more of those than anyone for about 2 years
